Why even bother with the content that is coming out in 2.1? It's all a step back, and not a step forward.

Not everyone has completed coils. Not everyone is in mythology/allagan gear. Not everyone is interested in coils. Plus there's more coming than just CT. Some people are very interested in housing.
Housing is just vanity. Of course, not everybody has done coil, but most people, even casuals are at end game now. Now if it took MONTHS to level up just one job, I can understand. Though, it doesn't. It takes a week.

While i admit , i was thinking long ago 2.1 was going to be a cap raise (ilv95/100) still ye, a full 80 gear will make coil runs way easier and more "community friendly". Except nothing will change at all, the usual same groups will keep running it, just faster. It's not gonna make the community better nor increase coil runs at all, imho. But at least ye, new content and maybe a spot on a 24 raid![]()

I for one am glad to see CT coming into play, with the current myth cap and coil lockouts it will be nice to have something to do on my non-main classes. I just hope they don't lock out CT or put restrictions similar to coil on it because that will make it pretty useless. After doing WP/AK for the 100th time I would love to try something different.
Housing requires materials, farming, and crafting. It's a group activity that will take some player's game time. Not everyone leveled up in a week actually a month and a half later statistics were released on the game. The majority weren't even at level cap. Many of my casual friends just finished their DL and Relic armor. They might get a piece or two of Mythic before Crystal tower comes out. Not to mention CT is more alt friendly than coils/Myth runs. Many people I know, not even just casuals, are excited for CT because it'll allow them to gear alts. Is the patch perfect? No, but hopefully 2.2 won't get delayed as there has been quite a bit of juicy information alluded to.
Some of us recognized this when CT was delayed. I for example, have been doing other things these past few months while I choose to ignore end game (being incomplete and all).
I personally can't wait! Yay!
Always remember the Silver Rule:
"Treat others as they treat you!" ...or something like that.
I'm not saying that CT is bad, it's good it's coming out, but I think it should be after coil or in between coil turns type of content. but it suppose to be before you do coil, and coil is already being beat left and right. I get that they will continue to add floors to crystal tower, to make it harder. Though to leave an important piece of content out for such a long time is a terrible idea.I for one am glad to see CT coming into play, with the current myth cap and coil lockouts it will be nice to have something to do on my non-main classes. gearing up my monk and later my bard will be easier. Besides I want to get out of DL gear already and don't run coil yet.
Actually, that's false. "most people" haven't even reached level 50 on a single job, and this is true in every MMO. only about a quarter of all players in WoW ever reach level 20, which takes like no time at all.
also, of the portion of players who ARE at endgame, few of them have multiple jobs that are above lv70 geared. for their secondary jobs, CT will be very useful in becoming viable for coil.
