I'm not really sure where this should go, or what tags I should use, so if anyone at least knows what tags I can edit this post with, feel free.

Was reading another thread earlier today and read something I thought made a good point. When in a party, if for whatever a party wanted to just go out and fight against regular mobs, they are generally fairly week and go down so fast and offer such little experience that its not very worthwhile. This reminded me of another game I used to play some time ago with an interesting remedy to this problem.

I have no idea how difficult this would be to implement, but hypothetically speaking, lets say I form a party with some friends and we venture out into some place in the woods and start to beat up on the enemies in the nearby area. Very soon after, because we're in a party it provokes "party" mobs to spawn, that are essentially tougher versions of the area's enemies offering a better challenge and more experience to the team.

The downside to this scenario, is this would potentially hinder a player who is soloing close to the party as there would now be enemies potentially too difficult for him or her to defeat alone, but this wouldn't mean there are only "party" mobs in the area.

So ya, there's my thought for the day. Hopefully this thread doesn't go down in flames of arguing.
