    Clarify Fatigue please?

I started playing again three days ago. Fun game.

I have hit fatigue with two of the jobs I picked. I have been crafting and making more jobs. However I asked one linkshell how long fatigue lasted and they said 7 days, and I asked another and they said 36 hours.

And another player I partyed with said it decrases as you are not xping (I asked him if the 'recovery' time started when I hit fatigued or from the last time I played it).

Can anyone clarify this for me, please?

    Thanks

You can reduce your fatigue by not playing that class and gaining SP on another crafting class. However, the effects will hardly be noticeable.

Your fatigue will be totally reset once a week. It will be exactly one week since the very first time you started gaining SP on that class.

I just started getting surplus fatigue. Does that go away 7 days from when I fought my first monster?

Like Rentahamster said, it will reset exactly one week from the very first time you started gaining SP on that class. So if the first time in the game you kill a mob with an axe is 12:00 p.m. on a Wednesday, then your fatigue for Marauder will reset every Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. If the first time you equip a needle and do some weaving is Friday at 10:00 a.m., then your Weaver fatigue will reset every Friday at 10:00 a.m.

Here's a video on the fatigue system (link in text).

My play experience suggests that fatigue reset time can change as well. For example lets say you decided to level CON and started getting sp for that class at 3 pm on a Tues. You hit fatigue after playing for a couple days on that class. However, when Tues hits, you do not equip your CON weapon and go do something else instead. Now it is 10 PM on a Thurs when you start leveling CON again. Your next fatigue is going to reset the next Thurs at 10 PM instead of the original Tues at 3.

Could someone explain this soft reset business. On occasion ill go from -30% surplus to -10% surplus. From what I can tell there is no specific reason for this. This is on a crafting class where I did not grind any other crafts. Also, I consistently grinded 40-50k in at most 24 hour intervals.
