Would really be nice to have close captioning for the live letters. English speaking folks pay just as much as the japenese to play.

Don't particularly like your way of saying it, but I have to agree. It feels kind of like a step backwards at the same time as a leap forward. It's quite a strange scenario, having seen what Square Enix can do from previous games in regards to artwork, cinematic... The lack of Close Captioning was a deep wound. And a shame, without it the game doesn't feel like the latest addition to a saga like it should. Good game, just lacking polish.

I appoligize for the way i wrote this. It sounds like I'm mad at the Japenese, which is not what i intended.Don't particularly like your way of saying it, but I have to agree. I believe when they post the actual video on youtube they do dub in close captions for us. I know it's not live and at the time of the letter, but there are great people in our community who actively try to translate for us during the live letters particularly Reinheart, and he keeps it up on twitch. Not as easy as just reading captions, but it an option for something we aren't offered.

You're both right. They used to release a translated version of all the live letters (with captions), then they stopped doing that and only posted summaries. It's a shame, I used to really look forward to the live letters, but I don't watch them anymore since I can't understand them.
