As a DPS, bard has almost everything.
1. Ranged DPS, only class need DEX
2. Very good single Dmg, top 2. (230+ DPS from 5 mins result)
3. Very good aoe DMG, top 2
4. Very good mobility, no need stay at same spot to wait 3 sec casting.no position need.
5. Very good burst Dmg top 2. (330+ DPS from 30 sec result.)
6. Best group skill top 1. (Sound)
7. Most popular job
8. The Easiest dps job to find a group
9. The easiest play job
10.best cc class. reliable silence make every group want to get 2+ bard for coil.

What else? I mean Jesus why SE love bard so much.

Considering outside of a single target lb there is nothing bad about bringing multiple bards yes I do think they will get several nerfs. What they will be though who knows because if they did too much then it would be the same thing for other classes then is people would bringing more of X class because they're fotm.

The number of DF i get with 2 dragoons disagrees. And most are terrible players(not sure why).

This is only my 2 cents. If we take away the freedom of movement from BRD, where is the unique job design? May as well swap over to mp and just give us magic attacks if that is the approach everybody wants. This is the only thing I am addressing because it seems to be the most popular in this thread.
In regards to other aspects of BRD, we do in fact bring a multitude of utility to the party base, but what's wrong with that? Seems to me like most of the QQ in here is due to the fact that BRD has a uniqe design to it compared to some other jobs.
In response to one of the other posts, why can't melee attack a boss that's moving? I see it done. Maybe you just aren't that good at playing a melee?? Thoughts?

Why nerf when you can bring others up to the level. People hate nerf and love buff. And I personally hate nerf on any class more than anything.

The answer would be logic.

1 - Because often it is more logical to nerf and with a greater likelihood of achieving balance, e.g - say in a game you have 8 DPS classes, 7 of which are balanced, 1 is OP, it makes no sense to waste resources trying to buff/rebalance 7 classes to the level of the OP 1, it is also more likely to fail and create more imbalances trying to rebalance 7 classes rather than 1.

2 - Sometimes the skill/mechanic causing the imbalance is simply game breaking, the only way to solve that is by nerfing that skill/mechanic.

3 - If you buff up everything to the OP class, then you have to waste further resources on adjusting the entire games content to match the new across the board OP power level of the classes.
