PS4 Beta?

Couldn't find anything on this so I'm posting. Has anything been said about if and when there will be sign up for it?

Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn players that begin their quest on the PS3 will be able to play the PS4 version's beta for free, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan announced today. The beta for the PS4 version of A Realm Reborn will launch alongside the console in Japan on February 22.

Update: A Square Enix Europe press release confirms players will be able to carry over character data when transitioning from PS3 to PS4. The date noted in the press release is also February 22, indicating the PS4 beta will likely begin globally on that day.

So if you own PS3 version you're in. I wouldn't worry about the details till a month away from it.

They have definitely said it will be in beta, I guess cos the hardware is new.

The PS4 system itself is bitter-sweet like FFXIV:ARR, makes no sense to have a BETA.
The game's already launched.
The system already launched as I viewed a show on it. New games are released with updates and online multi-player is accessible through Playstation Pluz Network Member only access can play online games.
The system is more powerful so we know its going to run faster.

The only issue I have is paying for subscription + online multiplayer(MMORPGs) access. What do you all think of this?

Subscription based MMOs wont need PSN+ for online access afaik. At least, that was confirmed for DCUO, and IRRC, FFXIV as well.

also I dont really have a problem with paying for playstation plus because you do get access to games

Guys really ? You are that ignorant ? You KNOW that we WILL get a NEW Client with DX11 Improved overall Graphic Quality, Texture Resolution and all that stuff FOR the PS4 and later the PC ?!

Of course there would be a beta for that if you don't believe me just pay a little bit of attention, just a tiny one to the things Yoshi got to say... He even stated that PC players would have to completely redownload the game since it'll be "a whole new technology" since they were themselves not satisfied with the graphics of ARR that's why they're going to upgrade it drastically.

PS4 get the same graphic quality like the PC with the current high setting. DX11 is only for PC. And not every PC player would need to download the game new, only the one who want the DX11 client.

PS4 beta would run on a separate beta server to test the client. It would not be on the live servers.

The PS4 client is NOT going to simply be the PS3 client reskinned. It's going to be closer to the PC client. Since it's a brand new build of the game on a brand new system it will require a 2-4 weeks of testing to work out wrinkles. This isn't beta testing the game persay just beta testing the new client. Wouldn't want to launch the PS4 version and find out there's a massive graphical glitch or something. Plus they'll probably hand out some beta keys to try and drum up more subs. I remember the FFXI Xbox launch. Major sub increase then.
