yea a lil disappointing but ive been sitting on so many items i found out i can craft crap loads of stuff so thats what i been doing

Behests and grind, yes. Also, you can do 8 local leves, grind crafts, Botany/Fishing/Mining,main storyline quests, side quests, job quests, Guild Tasks, set up your retainers to sell stuff, buy stuff, world NMs, faction NMS, lower-level NMs, explore, repair your gear, help your linkshell mates do stuff, socialize, etc.

There are plenty of things to do outside of leves, grinding, and behests. It's an open world, so you can do whatever you want.

You can see a NM if you are in the right area they are 5 min respawn, drop rates are low... but with the fast spawn they are easy enough to get something if you have 30mins-hr to put into killing them with friends.

They are all rank 25+ mobs that are much much stronger then your normal mobs you will need a party unless you are high rank to kill them.

I would mess around in Crafting and Gathering as well if you have not tried, it is great way to make gil (fishing and woodworking at least on my servers is a gold mine... with a log selling for 6k a pop and fish for 2k each, each gather attempt can get up to 5 of a single item). Crafting/Gathering is a personal preference they are not side activities in this game like most mmos it is very time consuming and involved. Some Love it, some feel it is the worst system ever developed in a mmo.

You mention you are not in a linkshell, I suggest getting an active one asap. The game is extremely limited solo, you get less XP/Sp and you can only do 8 leves a reset compared to around 18-20 in a full leve group. Nms and Faction NMs also require groups but those are more mid/late game. Grind party can pull upwards of 20-30k sp/hr at the right camps... alot more then the 9-12k you will probably get solo post rank 24.

All in all the amount of things to do in the game depends on what you want to do.

Just leveling fighting classes solo w/ leves gives you about 2-3hrs of playtime every 36 days
Playing in Groups and leveling crafting and gathering as well can give you well over 50hrs a week of playtime activities.


If not a linkshell try to get into a static or make some friends to play with, the game is based on grouping with the option to solo if you are low on time, so grouping is defiantly the way to play the game.

I already craft and gather everything I can, it's my fav part of the game so far.
