You aren't considering melding. 10 VIT in each ring, Allagan/Hero's is 15/16 VIT.In all honesty anything above 470 accuracy for turn 5 is fine, you'll still have a 99.8%+ accuracy rating. However gryphonskin offers 1-2% parry at most, the next tier of block/parry strength and a little more damage/enmity generation in exchange for 363~hp(well a little more than that when you factor in shield oath/defiance). 5 Melded gryphonskin is fine however for current content as it'll leave you at around ~6600+hp which is perfectly fine for turn 5. HP just allows for mistakes and reduces your chance of getting oneshot by twintania. Overall you're increasing your RNG based mitigation in exchange for solid visible health.
I did consider that, 25 vit over 5 accessories, 363~ hp. As an FYI, twintania doesn't do a lot of insane damage other than death sentence with autoattacks/plummet that can land at the exact same time which is why health is such a huge stat against her. Sure the random parries/blocks will help over the duration of a fight but if your healers can't heal through the autoattacks and plummet then you're never going to do the encounter. You're gaining a 2% additional chance to parry for 1 extra percent of mitigation. However this is purely BiS which to be honest is fairly rng based to get in itself.
How much does the attack you're talking about that Twintania hit for?
MB hits me for about 2.1-2.2k with Sentinel, that's the only thing I can relate to.
without cooldowns up and shield oath up it can hit for anywhere between 4.5-5.5k, her autoattacks will hit for 1-2k and the plummets can do upto 2k damage. Virus/Rain of Death rotations help a ton on this fight plus the added utility of all the paladin defensive cooldowns, which is why it takes such a huge toll on this particular fight to heal a warrior. It's not uncommon to take 7-8k damage in the space of a second with no cooldowns available. Death sentence is cast around every ~35 seconds.

The link that Sigrunn posted has 2 sets - a True BiS set (including Turn 5 clears), and a Pre-5 BiS set (for those who do not have a party that can clear Turn 5). Neither sets list Valor as the BiS gloves, unless I am going blind...I went 30 STR actually for my PLD and having no issues at all and finally beat Titan hard mode today, again no problems. I have 338 STR right now, reaching a new parry tier. I need only 25 more STR (which I am assuming is possible through i90) for the next tier, which all really shows over a long fight.
If you really think the extra 30 STR mitigation does not help over a 12-14 minute fight then you're CRAZYYYY AND DRUNK. I'd never use the 450 HP. I only ever die if I get hit with a auto one-hit KO or if the healer is down (which I'd be down instantly anyway).
By the way, are you saying that Valor Gauntlets aren't BiS? Because you know... the links you gave me say it is and I agree, so why even link a page saying it's BiS when you are saying it isn't.......?
Also that 500 HP might come in handy somewhere, as a tank you never want to not have enough HP, and a tank wipe usually causes a team wipe as well. The tank is as important as the healer. You're not a DPS job. I really don't think 30 STR helps for Titan either - that 30 STR isn't turning you into an extra DPS. You're probably the first PLD I've ever heard who went 30 STR, kudos to you for not having tanking problems I guess...
I have exactly 6k health. With Shield Oath only, Death Sentence swipes 4.5k of my health. The follow-up Plummet does 1.8k - instantly killing me. I am a 30 VIT PLD.without cooldowns up and shield oath up it can hit for anywhere between 4.5-5.5k, her autoattacks will hit for 1-2k and the plummets can do upto 2k damage. As a PLD you want to max out on Parry, which is what this build does and is more or less what I am going to follow:
http://xivdb.com/?wardrobe/594/PLD-BiS
Which will be over 480 accuracy, while maximizing Parry.
I'm still wearing Hoplite chest, head, legs, and feet with 4925 (party buff) / 4766 (solo).
DL hands and waist, Curtana, Holy Shield, fully melded Gryphonskin Ring HQ, Hoplite Ring, DL earring, neck, and bracelet.
I understand your doubts about STR PLD. I've had people doubting me about it since my level 30s, but I've tackled every piece of content so far pretty easily. I've sped run WP in 16 minutes, which I'd say is pretty good considering my gear.

My question is which of the following should I spend my 900 myth on:
Holy Shield +1 and Valor Gauntlets
Valor Surcoat
Curtana +1 and Holy Shield +1
Option 1 will probably give me the best stat gains from my previous equipment. Option 2 will allow me to get Holy Shield +1 the following week. Option 3 will force me to wait at least 2 weeks to get another Valor equipment.

The hardest I've been hit so far by death sentence is 5944 (unmitigated, with Shield Oath). I'm in full DL on the left side except for valor gauntlets. My group has been so unlucky with tank drops so far
For Twintania you'll definitely be scrounging for every point of vit you can until you're full i90 on the left. At which point I guess HQ Gryphonskin becomes personal choice. I think melded crafted jewelry is very useful for trivial content though, the extra dps is not bad at all.
Yeah it's a nice list to follow, however depending on coil drops you could go various paths to improve time efficiency i guess on being able to tank twintania. I was trying to follow the BiS list but I ended up getting the valor coronet due to the helmet dropping in turn 5. Then I got the allagan legs which kind of put me off from getting the valor legs. As my gear currently stands I can't upgrade really from anything other than gryphonskin accessories or allagan accessories due to accuracy. I'm still at a crossroads whether to upgrade my legs for valor or just spend some myth on my warrior since they're getting buffed next patch![]()
I'd probably stick with PLD, seeing as you've already started spending myth on it. I don't believe Warriors will get hugely buffed to the point where Paladins will not be played anymore lol - if anything, Yoshi-P has stated he intends to bring Warriors up to the level of Paladins, so I don't think he'll make it so that Warriors totally outclass Paladins with the new patch. I won't be getting any Gryphonskin eithers, due to the obvious lack of gil, but also because i have both iLv90 rings on me at the moment. Here's hoping the Allagan chest piece drops for me tonight!Yeah it's a nice list to follow, however depending on coil drops you could go various paths to improve time efficiency i guess on being able to tank twintania. Sorry for not seeing your question, misterrpg. I'd personally go for Curtana+1 and wait a week for valor gauntlets. The allagan shield drops in turn one and the shields stats aren't a huge upgrade really.
