Whats a good high lv mob to farm to level chocobo and make money?

I'm looking to level my chocobo and farm a mob that drops materials that are in high demand.

Can someone please suggest any?

Not the most lucrative item drop (ice crystals) but lvl 50 water sprite mobs in South Shroud (Urths gift) are a great way to level Chocobos.

Weaver and Leather worker are the two classes that suffer a lot from needing "monster" drops to be able to craft items. So if you focus on anything that drops materials for them you're not going to have to compete with harvesters who can get the materials much faster than you can.

East Than, out east of highbridge there are some mid-40's enemies I believe "Golden Fleece". There's the bit in the shroud for Skin/crystal/cluster... I don't know that there is anywhere highish level in the Limsa area though.

The thing is, don't forget to process it.

Hippogryph hides are 10 Gil each.
Hippogryph Leather is 1700 for HQ.

There is quite a bit of stuff that works in that fashion. It's not even that the people who buy it, can't make it. It is what it is. It's time consuming to HQ higher end stuff. Even Silver Ingots are decent Gil. Silver Ore? Throw away rates. By the time people get 400 levels of craft, they don't have the desire to craft tertiary components anymore.
