Knight's Passage Cutscene

So I just finished watching the Knight's Passage cutscene for the Lightning event. I don't know about you guys, but when Lightning talked about how beautiful Gridania was, and how her companions would've loved it there, I couldn't help but feel a bit sad.

Just a few words, but the meaning behind them mas monumental. So here's to hoping the XIII cast finally get the reunion they deserve in Lightning Returns.

The whole thing is whack. It's a shameless promotion of the new game which doesn't interest me one bit. Lightning has no place in Eorzea, this has been said a million times but we were assured the event will 'make sense', it doesn't. It's also very bland, has little to no story and has no originality. I'm pretty sure plenty of time and effort went into making this event (despite being an utter failure) when they could have gone into something that would actually improve the game (plenty of opportunities for that). The only good thing about it are the weapon skins (hopefully they will be, when/if vanity slots come) which everyone will have anyways.

What you dislike and deem a failure, other people have/are enjoying. No matter what kind of event they have, not everyone is going to like it or enjoy it. But... Whatever floats your boat. If bashing the event makes you happier than the actual event, have fun.

And seeing you write this actually puts a smile on my face. Even if you dislike it all, that's your given right. But at least you're elaborate enough to say why now. I have no issues against negative comments. And you are right, this is nothing more than a shameless promotion. But some people enjoy it others dislike it. For me it's just a quick(and very small) breath of fresh air from the usual activities. I just find short replies with no content insulting to the people who create an honest thread.

No I agree with Stanice. Lightning has zero place in this game. Its a shameless promo on the part of SE to push a console game. If it makes the community have /feels over it then all the better, it means they will sell more. It detracts from the game and it highlights the marketing schemes companies will go to, to sell items. I for one was not impressed. The fates are annoying, the gear is vanity with no vanity slots, you cant store this stuff, and you cant even see Lightning in the fates! Whats the freakin point? Oh that's right, to make a few bucks. I am sooo glad SE spent tons of time and resources to promote a console game within this game instead of doing things like fixing this game, getting rid of RMT or working on new content that is relevant to everyone instead of a few fan boys.
