So I'm new, and while I know about final fantasy I do not really know about ARR. I have a lvl 10 lancer am enjoying him rather fun but I was like perhaps I should find a guild? I mean probably a good idea right?

I'm on Diablos server pst timezone looking for a company to join, playing this on the ps3 with a wireless keyboard the game is running rather well control are great really enjoying it! just looking for not a hardcore group with a decent name relatively laid back back does quests hunting riads dungeons whatever... I have been looking found a few online just thought I'd try my luck here before jumping into the pool

Unfortunately, as a new player, he can't post on the server forums because of the posting restriction. He can only check the forums and find a FC from those. Needless to say, if anyone on Diabolos sees this post, consider replying or searching for his character if you're interested.

By the sound of your request though, you may consider joining a leveling linkshell and then search for a FC that suits your gaming style. There are very few FCs just focused on leveling at this point, although many might still help you level if you're pursuing the same goal.

Anyway, it is probably a good idea to find a FC or linkshell by lvl15. They will help you quickly find and make parties for dungeons. As a dps class, you will have the longest dutyfinder times, and being able to call together a FC group will greatly reduce your wait time. A linkshell btw, is less formal than a FC, but players can join up to 8 of them.This makes them ideal for networking and keeping in contact with friendly players who might party with you. Compared to that, you can only join 1 FC, but they can give xp boosts, guildbanks, and some cosmetic tweaks.

and OP, go to ur world thread, you find tons of thread recruiting.. thats aid like person above said. If you ever come to ULTROS, Check ATHENS CHOSEN.. we are a small FC (21) but friendly and help each other Enjoy Eorza..

Well ultimately a server that is strictly pst would be ideal for me but I just picked a random one lol. I was looking and was like cool us server got it they speak english well that's probably a good idea.... and how about section of the states? no? nothing to go on? or server population to go off? fine random time!

A rough population estimate for servers can be found here. As for location, all NA servers are based in Montreal.

From what I know of, there is no set time for servers to specific time zones, although FCs might specify. You might be able to get a general rule of thumb by browsing through the FC recruitment posts if they specify a preferred time zone. More likely than not, those are the times most players are active on that server.

Balmung and Gilgamesh are considered RP servers though, so you might consider those if that is your thing.

Hmm, my initial reaction is to wonder if you've just burnt out your alotted posts for the day when you tried. You are given an allotment to start a thread, and a separate allotment to reply to a thread. So, it is possible you simply ran out of one or the other. I'm not certain on the specifics, but I have no idea otherwise.

I for some reason find this forum rather err restrictive? I mean maybe, it's just me so used to other mmo type threads and all that. I do enjoy RP but it requires that much more time and energy and while it's good I would prefer just to play the game I play in a D&D game once a week so plenty of rp there in that regard and once a month in mage well, I play a mage

All really good ideas thanks for all the input and help! I wouldn't mind remaking my character thankfully I can import the data but I suppose I'll need to delete my character and then remake one on another server right?

I also really like lancer but like, I want all the classes! haha I'm greedy! I mean really,really, want a Red mage but it's not a class option atm and neither is dark knight I took a look at black mage and went alright cool outfits cool hats need the steeple hat got it alright! but then something wants me to do bard or summoner and I just lol can't pick one option.

FC for dungeons are so much better then going in with random people from duty finder as some people can be rather rude.
Just check the section for your zone in the forums as they all post in there
