I am all for spirit bonding in dungeons, but a full set is a bit much. I usually do HQ accessories or a couple of Ilvl 55 pieces, but never more than three or four.

Most people who do it in dungeons aren't there to only SB. They likely need tomes too. They just SB a few pieces while getting said tomes. Like accessories as some have said. Also WP is actually fairly decent if you kill all 3 sets of the bugs. I go as BLM and any bugs they skip, I run back and aoe down after everyone leaves in the 5 minute window I have. I also make some money off the craftables. Turn them into HQ relic items for people. So multiple birds with 1 stone kind of thing. If this was a player picked up on the server specifically for a WP run then just blacklist him when you are done. I'm surprised by how many players that don't use the blacklist feature. Don't like a certain player's play-style, don't play with them again.
If this is a duty finder group there is nothing wrong with the gear he is wearing. He is still able to progress the dungeon with his party. It may take longer, but duty finder queues are not used for serious speed running/quick clearing.
Spirit Bonding:
Just a heads up to people who do like Spirit Bonding. Dungeons are not really a great place to do it to begin with. Form parties on the server and fight high level monster camps. This is usually much quicker for SB gear.

I'm always running ak/wp and I wear 5 pieces of sb accessories that's revelant to my class, healer. I do, however, run with full dl armor and relic+1. I still can run the entire instant in cleric stance, dps and still keep everyone alive without a sweat. I just see that acc is negligible, but armor/weapon matters.

I Spirit bind in dungeons, but I spirit bind HQ Amber Accessories and their nearly as good as DL accessories. I might also SB a helm/chest, but even with all that SB gear on I still have 5k+ hp as a paladin and 6.8k+ as a warrior and the run goes fine and just as fast as normal.

They should introduce a system where once you cant gain exp anymore (lvl cap 50 or higher later), your xp gets stored into an item or points in the currency tab. Then you just feed these points into your target gear for spiritbond points.
I suppose, technically, you're not going to be spending some time to bond with your gear like this but eh, screw lore for convinience's sake, am I right, yoship?

I agree that a full gear list is pushing it.I recently went into a WP run where a DPS (wearing relic +1 and full DL) switched to all white items (including weapon) to spirit bind. Is this acceptable behavior in a dungeon?
To me, he's making the dungeon take longer then it has to all so he can get materia. Everyone else in the party was decently geared (one garuda weapon +dl, healer and tank had relic or relic+1). I could kinda understand if it was just a single accessory or armor piece, but the full gear list?
Am I overreacting or is this acceptable?
But as long as it isn't causing wipes and the dungeon is progressing I don't really see the problem.

It's not a problem if you are SBing only accessories, or have more than a couple of ilvl90 to compensate, or can keep your role's duties just as fine as if you were in your normal gear. That's if you are using DF, of course.
Of course, do whatever you want in pre-made groups as long as they know and/or share your intentions.

It's ok for FC/LS party but if I see someone doing it in DF, I won't try too hard to heal that guy. If he/she doesn't play 100% why should I? they're making money, I'm not getting anything but harder work.

I'll spirit bond a couple accessories when i'm doing AK or WP on my WHM because my other gear can more than make up for it. I however would avoid doing so on my BLM because its less geared, i would only do that if i were with my FC buddies and they didn't mind. Changing all your gear into spiritbonding stuff is absolutely ridiculous, especially when its with people you don't even know.
If your dps is still on par with decent it doesn't matter. If you can keep up with everyone and not die all the time it doesn't matter. It may be rude yes, but if it doesn't effect me or the party I simply don't care. When you end up carrying someone because they think they can switch to all white gear and still be ok, it is not ok. I have left parties as a whm before when I have run into messy WP's or Ak's, if no one is SB and we are messy, meh it happens, but if I'm wiping over and over because the dps or tanks are SB everything yeah I'm gonna leave. I will tell them why to, not like they care, if you are rude enough to pull that shit, you wont care if the whm is yelling at you for being a idiot.
