Selling items with materia, does it really worth it

That should get you more money as long as you don't get too crazy with the price.

I've found it worthwhile if I have some spare Materia. Less so, if I'm buying the Materia to add.

not at, it's not worth it. One example, I had one of those HQ elemental wands for WHM, place some very expensive level III material x2 worth 20-30k each.
Yet the HQ sells for 15k at AH, I had to drop my asking price of 50k to 30k to 20k and only one of the three sold so far and this is just one example.

That is exactly the reason why I ask, HQ sells quick, but ppl dont seem to care about checking stuff with materia added ( unless is relic related ), so one would waste lots of money on materia ( if bought ) and would lose money instead of make profit

I think the problem fredtma had was the item they chose to meld materia to. I doubt many whms are going to spend the extra gil for a melded 15k wand.

That beind said, some situations it can be worth it. I've sold some crafter's AF with correctly melded slots so it saved me some time trying to compete with the other 10+ crafters on the MB selling hq AF. Another example, there were 4 astral rings up yesterday, 3 hq, 1 hq melded. The melded one was 3x the asking price of the others, albeit it did have a vit IV in it, but it sold while the other 3 are still up.

From my experiences so far, it seems mid level tanking and blm hq crafted gear sells well, and sells for alot although only on occasion. Might be able to find a niche melding II's or III's to them for an outrageous price and see how it goes.
