Why do I take AOE damage out side of red circles?

This is not an end-user issue. Sure, SOME people may be able to reduce the effects to some extent by changing things on their end... But this "issue" can not be fixed entirely by anyone other than SE(if at all).

Not everyone's problem is the same and SE can't fix everything. They have no direct control over your the network between your PC and their firewall. The biggest thing SE can do is increase the position update frequency, provided their servers can handle it, however this may only by you 0.2 seconds. They been reluctant to do this.


If you're unable to avoid red circles at certain times such as during prime time while others are not it's most likely the route between your modem and SE's firewall, it doesn't matter how fast your connection is. It can possibly be the modem dying as well, which I had this happen to me when I played WoW or something else I can't think of.

Players who have issue like yours has a few options:
- Yell as loud as you can on the forums providing SE with no info so they have no clue how to fix your issue. This seems to be the common strategy on these forums.
- Or contact your ISP. Post your ISP and location under technical support so if there are many players with your ISP SE can contact them. Try a VPN, which will change your route.

I don't have faith in SE doing any quick fix, so all who are experiencing problems avoiding red circles the fastest way to resolve your problem is to trouble shoot it yourself and post as much info you about your setup/symptoms so someone can suggest something you can try.

I've adapted and started moving before the red lines appear, also moving out and then inside or casting after you get out seems to help; so I rarely die to it.

Doesn't makes the issue non-existant, though. I'd rather be able to react to things as they happen, not have to do silly rituals and get hit while in the line, not several meters away from it.

Sunarie, if you ever do Titan again could you please upload a video of how WotL looks for you. I'd be really interested to see it. About Firestream and Repelling Cannons, they are pretty unforgiving. I have to move as soon as I see the cast bar to dodge them. I read the JP servers don't suffer the same problems, can't remember if it was here or reddit, wonder if there is any truth to that.

Let's hope the next Live Letter recognises this.
