Troll reversal!
I'm mildly certain that a whm can put out quite substantially more enmity than any other job in the game. From there it was a case of getting a solid team (who deserve the real credit, I only came up with the stupid idea and spammed medica/stoneskin) and lots and lots of hp!
Well, I eat my words. Bravo! I am very impressed with that. Funny enough, that brings a little legitimacy to my silly idea of making the 2nd CNJ Job a heal tank >.> lol
I imagine that was full VIT with VIT accessories and the largest VIT food you can find?
Now for SCH tanks, I think you'd need an incredibly specialized setup since SCH enmity is praised for their lack of enmity generation, lol. I would love to see it though, if you get it recorded ^_^
Quite simply, if the WAR is there for the VIT buff and doesn't stay on defiance / uses non enmity generating attacks, WHM will stay ahead. Don't underestimate how much Threat Medica II + Medica spam can generate. Was still quite a far margin ahead in hate compared to the 2nd place person, after watching the video.
[EDIT] Yeah, I can imagine it's a group effort. Without BRD songs for MP, I don't think you wouldn't be able to maintain those kinda hate levels (especially since popping shroud is very counter productive to your goal), though I bet if your WAR came as a MRD instead, his DPS levels would be fun to see =p Still, it's great you got a group of people to work with for such silly ideas. It's what keeps the game amusing.

Aye, ilvl 90 main slots with a mix of DL fending and max melded craft accessories, If I was prepared to blow points on hero's/allag fending I could have pushed for 6k hp. As far as the run itself went there was room for refinement, with practice and maxed out gear I'm pretty sure it'll be doable with just a sch covering me and 6 along for the ride. I'll likely wait till 2.1 to try that though =o

impressive
Yes.. I can attest to SCH being the better healer. Got knocked off the platform in Titan HM before the heart phase. SCH finished the fight by himself (herself?) without my WHM. Even rez'd the tank once. I'm pretty sure WHM could not do that fight alone.
Both SCH and WHM can solo heal Titan. It's just a matter of player ability but also relies heavily on the rest of the party keeping screw-ups to a minimum.
I would amend the above to say:
SCH is tank healer. WHM is tank.
As a PLD, I wish I had even half of the amazing aggro skills a WHM has!
(But seriously, I love my FC's top White Mage healer. She's amazing to run with and knows how to manage her aggro.)

The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance.
I don't think that Scholar is necessarily the "better" healer (as each job has their own "niche," as it were, and they compliment each other), but...
My friends and I have taken to doing Wander's Palace runs with 3 Scholars + tank, and they are ridiculously fun. So many Eos, so little time! We actually finish almost as quickly as with a standard run of 2 DPS + healer + tank. It's ridiculous fun, so if you get the chance to do a run like that, I recommend it!
^^ That was our first attempt. Unfortunately our Pally buddy got a bit overzealous and ended up pulling EVERYTHING ON THE WAY TO THE FIRST BOSS. Even three scholars + three Eos + all our CDs couldn't save him (especially since we couldn't DPS since he was dying so fast). We are still teasing him about that. xD
