Just hit 50 with Bard, itemization questions. Bard pros come =]

Hi, first of all thank you for your patience and time in reading this. I recently just hit 50 on my alt for the Bard class. My goal is to gear up for coil as soon as possible.

Two things before I continue, it is my alt, so I have about maybe 50 philos total.
Also, my main class has all craft classes to 50, so I am planning on crafting as much as I can. (Money is not really an issue for me).

My goal is to minimize the amt of darklight I have to buy. So far this was my thinking:

    1. Craft all my accessories, and overmeld them correctly. These should last me all the way into turn 5.'
    2. Craft the body (since it is only 9 philo pieces). I also plan on upgrading my pants to AF2 first.
    3. Buy darklight for everything else.

My last question is, what is the stat prioritization for bards? In order from primary stats to secondary and etc.

Thank you again for the read and I appreciate any help.

Your plan is sound if you feel like spending that much money on an alt.

Max Crit, get enough VIT to take Fireballs and Conflags, Det in the rest for more dps.

    Gryphon skin with :
    Vitality IV
    Savage Aim III
    Savage Aim III
    Savage Might III
    Savage Might III

This will be useful in Turn 5 and not just on bard.

Stat priority may vary based on gear, but having healthy amount of Dex, Crit, and Acc. Followed by Det, and Vitality. Darklight has so much accuracy on it that you will reach over cap fast, but as you upgrade away from those pieces your accuracy is going to fall.

You need to be sensitive to Accuracy caps for Coil Turn2 since you never want to miss a [Blunt Arrow] on High Voltage.
I believe this is around 472 accuracy.
This should be your top priority.

After that, you want the highest Dex, then Crit, then Determination.

Darklight will easily cover accuracy and above. So if op has a full set of DL his accuracy should be fine.

Usually as you upgrade away from your darklight set; your accuracy will go down. If not accuracy cap'd use food to get there. Like Bardo said, can't miss those High Voltages.

Might as well do yourself a favor and craft the Gryphonskin hands. Darklight ones are pretty underwhelming and as you said before, money isn't an object. You're going to get 16 more crit and 4 more determination with the crafted ones so it's worth the investment in my opinion. The crafted boots are an option but I took them because I'm a crit whore and I try to get it in every slot if possible without sacrificing too much DEX. With fully crafted gear you're still going to find yourself well over accuracy cap and over 500 crit as well so it will be a noticeable dps increase over DL as far as bards are concerned.

He said he wants to avoid as much DL as possible, so Accuracy may actually become an issue.
Like you said, you can use accuracy food if you have to, but then you're losing out on some crit/det from food, so you have to make sure the trade-off is worth it.

Did some more research and I ended up crafting and over melding all my accesory pieces, and crafted the tunic and gloves. Tunic is relatively cheap and like someone already mentioned the crafted gloves are much better than the dark light ones due to the crit, det, and even ss if I want. Bought the dark light helm already and next two purchases will be the feet and belt. I have decided I am not going to purchase the dark light pants. My accuracy is more than above acc cap with the equip I mentioned, will just save my myth for pants first.

Thanks for all the tips guys everything helped tremendously.
