Ifrit hard mode, alittle to hard?

So Ifrit in hard mode is not too hard, unless you have a bad group comp. and by that I mean if you have two warriors or no SMN/BLM. I really do think they need to fix this fight. It might just be lower geared groups not having enough DPS to beat him on his nails, but the Fact you almost always have to have a WAR and PLD or you wont be able to win. I mean is it just me or is that alittle silly?

If people didn't come in DF to this fight with lvl 30 gear it would be no problem without a pld or smn/blm.....

Eruptions shouldn't be a problem, we used to have to dodge them in the 1.0, the only one people say is a must to stun is the one in between the second and third plumes in the phase after hellfire, which a warrior can easily stun, the eruptions come exactly 30 seconds apart after hellfire, and you don't even have to stun it, have your ranged be on the outer edge after the second plume, move melee out too if you can't coordinate it, then as soon as eruptions, run to Ifrit's ass, it avoids eruptions, and puts you in position for the last plumes at the same time, it's not that it is too hard, people see the easy mode way, and think that is the only way. If you don't have a caster for nails, melee lb one, kill two more, then you have lb up for last nail again.

Ty for this. I was really losing hope for being a Warrior in Ifrit xD. But ty again.

Back in my day we couldn't Stun Eruptions and we didn't have LB for nails. Ifrit hard mode is definitely not hard, you can melee LB the nails down just fine since you get free LB for killing nails, and a Stun rotation is not a difficult thing to pull off.

Agree that the reliance on stuns for Eruption can get pretty silly. I was doing Ifrit with FC group for someone's relic and we wiped a few times because the people in the back apparently made little effort to dodge Eruptions/were casting, and expected the PLD to interrupt perfectly every time. Twice, both healers went down in a single Eruption.

Did an epic Ifrit HM yesterday with FC mates. IIRC, the group was WAR, MNK, DRG, BRD, BLM, SMN, WHM, SCH. We made the mistake of assuming BRD could silence eruptions. When we realized that didn't work, I started stunning as monk. Couldn't get all of them because of cooldowns, but by using Steel Peak and Shoulder Tackle, I was able to get most of them. Had to wait for level 3 to LB the nails. Had to use healer LB3 when we were down to 3 of us left. Half the group was new to HM even. And we still ended up one shotting it. So awesome.

Moral of the story, who cares if the party setup isn't perfect? Figure it out, work together, and get it done.

I have done this as a warrior through the duty finder with another warrior. It is actually easy as long as you communicate to alternate stuns. All you need is communication. I know some people find that difficult in an MMORPG.

I've always thought that relying on interrupts to build limit break, and relying on limit break to kill things are a crutch. People love taking the easy path, but that's no fun.
