Extremely Bad Event Design

You guys locked a limited time only event for level 13 armor behind a level wall that requires you to be 50 to get the last piece?

Did no one at the meeting where this ridiculous decision was made mention that it might be a bad idea to irritate every non level 50 player this way during a time period where subscriptions are decreasing anyway?

I won't even go into the fact that the event itself is nothing more than 2 hours of combined waiting followed by 4 sessions of 30 second game play. The real problem is that no one that isn't already in their upper 30's that has any kind of life has a practical chance at completing this quest chain. The level of 'fail' in this design is really funny

The event comes back in FEB, those players can get to 50 by then...

The event is repeating itself in February, so if you get to level 50 by then you should be fine.

(Not that it's an excuse, but its something that might help)

The gear is only level 13 in honor of ff13. The event isn't meant to gear up low level characters.

like others have said, event repeats in FEB, also this is "vanity gear" not really meant for real use

I'm just skipping this event all together. I really don't care, as I just want to play the game and level my classes/jobs up. Meh.

the event will be repeated after the NA release of LIGHTNING RETURNS, so you have tons of time to get a high level job if you can't get it done before the current one ends.

I haven't done the event yet but I thought doing one part of it was enough for at least a weapon.

That is plenty of time for even a casual player to get to 50
