It would be nice if they can have the birds sitting in trees or something until someone runs by, then they fly up and dive bomb them. =p

Then they could have bats clinging to ceilings and doing a similar thing.

As for other floating mobs.... bugs and bees makes sense to me...and I can't imagine seeing elementals or bombs not floating around...

So i'm going to politly ask, what is this really about. ALSo birds were a popular mob type because they are weak to ice and piercing. If it wasn't for colibri camps in west ron [s] the drg woulsd prob stayed;oldrg.
Now that you've finishing rambling and double-posting about FFXI/old times, I'd like to get a word in edge-wise.

I think bats are pretty lame too, but for some reason, the birds are just way more anti-immersive. If it was up to me, I'd ask that they both be improved. But one thing at a time, ok?

Bombs, ghosts, eyes, and elementals are all mystical creatures and have thereby earnt their right to float. Bats and birds are not floating creatures. They are flying creatures.

Is any of this getting through to you?

That analogy fails to work on account of the fact that birds are not magical creatures.

I'm tired of these games resting on 'symbolical representation' when we are in an age where that is no longer necessary. People ask for a suspension of disbelief but I ask for an attempt at reality.

Isn't this supposed to be a MMORPG rather than real world simulator?

At least these birds are in the air. RL birds all walk now, I don't even see why they have wings anymore.

Uh...well they put the birds in the trees...and when people run by they get agitated and then float/attack. Because then they are in combat. Same with bats. It's adding a 'waiting' animation for the mobs that would just feel neat in the world, I think. Even for other mobs....like a Gobbue picking his nose, or a billy goat grazing...something more than just blank meandering they do.

consider targeting and attacking a bird who just dive bombs ya. Again you guys are asking for a machanic in Zelda games. These are not fun and hard to kill mobs. (mostoly due to targeting. ) the mobs are places for player convience too attack first. Also... in sea there is the ufo nm.... and in the past in xarcabard there is a dragon who dives bombs player neither was well recieved.
