I've seen this attitude from several players. I think a lot of people underestimate the "easy-ness" of gearing up. Basically once you have a 50, you're looking at 1 i90 item every 1.5-2 weeks from myths. I also wouldn't consider it taking "large amounts of time" to gear up in i90. After a week of learning 1-4 it becomes a 1 hour event. 4 runs of AK and 1-4 and you're basically done for the week. I probably play 3 hours a week of XIV and the majority of that is AK.

To OP... You're right. There is extremely little to do once you're on coil. I agree with you being a re-launch there should have been more emphasis on endgame. I couldn't imagine being a legacy player with full 50's and caught up on all class quests. There just isn't anything to do.

Um.............did everyone forget that we were playing an MMO, with other people online? If all you want is personal gain/beat the game, maybe a single player game would suit better?

This might sound wild in theory, but I assumed MMOs were supposed to encourage player interaction, helping others, stuff like that ... ... wilder yet is that I thought helping other unconditionally was actually a thing. At least I have my server to help.

I agree with you. But there's nothing to keep people in the game once they reach a point. I have had person after person in my own coil group just say "nothing to do" and quit the game. There are very few battles in this game which require "help". If anything it's now more of people who are under geared begging for a carry on something like Titan.

    1) Easiness is a word. No reason use quotations. Also I think you meant to use single quotations, unless you're referencing something I don't see.

    2) I can understand your sentiment. I think it all comes down to a lack of content to do if you're not interested in having everything to 50 or crafting.
I do the primals quite a bit, I find them fun but otherwise I've had my fill of wp/ak. Coil is still fun but it's not that long.
So I can agree there could be more and I think that will alleviate with time.

However, I think complaining about it is pointless. If they had held off to include more content, then we would've probably had to wait much longer for the re-release.
I'm personally very happy with the fact that I got to play all this time since August. I wouldn't take away all this time for more content on release.
You can think SE's lazy or whatever you want to, but it's all speculation about how much content they could've included.
Even if you knew, you couldn't change it. So either you wait for the content to fill up or you just unsubscribe and come back in a year when there's more stuff available.

Personally, I'm happy they released earlier with the content available than made me wait another 6 months to a year. At least I get to play while they develop/recode content.

The game has a ton of things to do if you're not a stick in the mud.

    I've got 2 50s, working on a third (WAR).

Just got my first Relic last night (Veil).

Still gearing my SMN and SCH out. Missing 5 pieces of DL that I want and still need the entire Myth set for SCH and also myth hands for SMN. Then start pre-buying DL WAR gear. That's just me. I've played an average of 4 hours a day since launch.

A few things to do for fun:

Don't do more than 2 or 3 AK/WP runs a night. Prevents burnout while still getting you a decent tome count and capping myth each week.

Remember that other dungeons still exist. i run the low level dungeons a few times a week just for fun. Steel Vigil and Brayflox especially. You get to teach newer players, pick up gear that gives you an excuse to level other jobs, and some of the bosses are downright fun. I love tanking Aiatar as WAR.

HM Primals are fun. You can lot weapons for other jobs later on (if they aren't called) and the fights are enjoyable. Except Titan, who sucks always but its still great practice.

Shout to form FATE groups to go to unpopular areas. Its great seeing some of the fights that the normal herd FATE players will never see. Ever done FATEs at 48 past the Tidegates? Sharknado!

Explore and see the sights. Some of the zones in the game are breathtaking, and I collect screencaps of the scenery.

Hell I dont even do crafting, but there's that.

The game has a ton of stuff to do. The problem is that people only pick 2 or 3 of all those things, say "I'm only going to do these, and do them over and over!" and wonder how they get tired of it. MMORPGs are about experiencing a world, not just grinding aimlessly for one point of a stat.

It's not as bad as some people claim but it's definitely a bit lacking. Though either way it doesn't really matter until the devs realize that you can't design a game based around dodging stuff in a split second when you have literally the worst MMORPG ever existed to support split second dodging.

This game has done fine with the content it has started with. For the amount of time I have been playing it, I am happy. The game was a relaunch but for the limited time they had to get the entire game remade they did well.
I have finally run out of things I want to do this week so I have turned to trying to help people to keep me busy.
I hate crafting with a passion meaning they stay locked, all of my battle classes (DOM and DOW) are lvl 50, and gathering I finished Miner but I fall asleep a lot making gathering less then ideal. This week is the second week of my group downing Twintania and after that is when it hit me that, I don't know what to do. There is a lot I can do but nothing I want to do.

People who beat turn 4 then say there is nothing to do or people who have not even made it that far I just do not understand. Sure finding a group can be tough but if you are willing to put in some effort it is very doable. If you are using gear as an excuse my group did 1-4 with the majority of our gear darklight with a few drops added in as we beat turns. By the time you can get through 1-4 at a decent speed you should have enough gear to start learning Twintania and each week will just make your group that much better. If you just want to have everything handed to you or done for you then its not a lack of content stopping you from doing things. Learning how to beat Twintania is hours of trying hard and doing your best just waiting to be tapped into. If you just can't do it I guess that will be content for you when it is nerfed down.

Outside of that as people have mentioned there is lots of other things to do that I wont list as they have been listed above plenty. If you are more like me have beat everything there is to beat and run out of things you want to do (not to be confused with things you can do). We are about a month away from new content and hopefully we will start seeing content snowball on itself and there are not 3 month gaps between every content patch. So take a small break, relax, or go help people. go make some gil in case you run into something you just have to buy.

Please stop saying there is nothing to do because I don't know anybody who has done EVERYTHING.

    End Content is Lacking IMO

Its a classic case of "ship now add later" that mmos tend to do now. I really do like this game, visuals are good, classes are distinct and fun to play, and i love final fantasy series. But for now i am pausing my subscription. I just don't see the fun in repeatedly spamming a dungeon to gear up for another dungeon spam.

I'll come back when the patch comes, but for now i'm just too bored with it.
