    End Game Reviews

Im posting this thread not to get hate on . But want peoples opinions on end game.
Now the FC im in Do Coil and clear up to Turn 4 one day on the Weekend - Turn 5 still eludes us and the other Weekend day i do nothing but AK/WP until im cap.
Now apart from this there isnt really anything else to do to gear my toon.
I could spam more WP for gear ALTs but again its the same dungeon.
Does anyone else find this end game just a bit well boring and disappointed that 2.1 isnt bringing out anything benefitial ?

Very small fraction of people have Gear higher than Crystal Tower ( people that beat coil and people with large amounts of time on their hands.)

Minority will be bored probably ( if you only look at Coil as being the only end game). However, the Majority will be doing that content to get that gear to prep themselves for Coil.

Edit: Also. this game just launch you can't honestly expect tons of content right from the gate. Content takes a lot of time to make. :/

Re-launched and also everything "re-coded" to meet the needs of PC/PS3/PS4. Also New Maps, New Music, New Dungeons. Personally to ME it's a new game. 1.0 was being worked on side by side with 2.0 and 1.0 got thrown in the trash. If it was the same game, they would have just build upon 1.0 instead of making 2.0.

2.0 has a "similar feeling" to how 1.0 was. However, 1.0 we will not be able to play again.

Edit: I mean Where was Moggle Mog at Launch? Where's Hamlets? Where's Chocobo Caravan? If this is the same game, all of those features would still be in the game as well.

Source? Why do some people think they are experts at Coding a game. Or making a game for that manner. -.-

Just quit already if it's garbage. Go back to WoW or whatever other hole you came from.

I've seen this attitude from several players. I think a lot of people underestimate the "easy-ness" of gearing up. Basically once you have a 50, you're looking at 1 i90 item every 1.5-2 weeks from myths. I also wouldn't consider it taking "large amounts of time" to gear up in i90. After a week of learning 1-4 it becomes a 1 hour event. 4 runs of AK and 1-4 and you're basically done for the week. I probably play 3 hours a week of XIV and the majority of that is AK.

To OP... You're right. There is extremely little to do once you're on coil. I agree with you being a re-launch there should have been more emphasis on endgame. I couldn't imagine being a legacy player with full 50's and caught up on all class quests. There just isn't anything to do.

    1) Easiness is a word. No reason use quotations. Also I think you meant to use single quotations, unless you're referencing something I don't see.

    2) I can understand your sentiment. I think it all comes down to a lack of content to do if you're not interested in having everything to 50 or crafting.
I do the primals quite a bit, I find them fun but otherwise I've had my fill of wp/ak. Coil is still fun but it's not that long.
So I can agree there could be more and I think that will alleviate with time.

However, I think complaining about it is pointless. If they had held off to include more content, then we would've probably had to wait much longer for the re-release.
I'm personally very happy with the fact that I got to play all this time since August. I wouldn't take away all this time for more content on release.
You can think SE's lazy or whatever you want to, but it's all speculation about how much content they could've included.
Even if you knew, you couldn't change it. So either you wait for the content to fill up or you just unsubscribe and come back in a year when there's more stuff available.

Personally, I'm happy they released earlier with the content available than made me wait another 6 months to a year. At least I get to play while they develop/recode content.

The game has a ton of things to do if you're not a stick in the mud.

    I've got 2 50s, working on a third (WAR).

Just got my first Relic last night (Veil).

Still gearing my SMN and SCH out. Missing 5 pieces of DL that I want and still need the entire Myth set for SCH and also myth hands for SMN. Then start pre-buying DL WAR gear. That's just me. I've played an average of 4 hours a day since launch.

A few things to do for fun:

Don't do more than 2 or 3 AK/WP runs a night. Prevents burnout while still getting you a decent tome count and capping myth each week.

Remember that other dungeons still exist. i run the low level dungeons a few times a week just for fun. Steel Vigil and Brayflox especially. You get to teach newer players, pick up gear that gives you an excuse to level other jobs, and some of the bosses are downright fun. I love tanking Aiatar as WAR.

HM Primals are fun. You can lot weapons for other jobs later on (if they aren't called) and the fights are enjoyable. Except Titan, who sucks always but its still great practice.

Shout to form FATE groups to go to unpopular areas. Its great seeing some of the fights that the normal herd FATE players will never see. Ever done FATEs at 48 past the Tidegates? Sharknado!

Explore and see the sights. Some of the zones in the game are breathtaking, and I collect screencaps of the scenery.

Hell I dont even do crafting, but there's that.

The game has a ton of stuff to do. The problem is that people only pick 2 or 3 of all those things, say "I'm only going to do these, and do them over and over!" and wonder how they get tired of it. MMORPGs are about experiencing a world, not just grinding aimlessly for one point of a stat.
