unable to get final grandcompany rank

I've completed the main story entirely, done my maelstrom hunting log rank 2 and my journal says I've completed shadows uncast aswell as giliding the bilious and I'm still told I need to complete a trial to get my next rank in the maelstrom

Just to be sure, you:

1 talked to R'ashaht Rhiki to get the quest;
2 went to Aurum Vale's entrance itself and talked to Willielmus;
3 exited AV using the Exit point, not Withdraw;
4 talked to R'ashaht Rhiki again before talking to the Personnel officer?

(I get to ask the stupid questions because I did skip #2 and was confused why I didn't get the complete.)
