    Macro Guide for Beginners

Hey guys, here is a macro guide that I've been working on for FF14. It's got examples for how to change classes, gear and actions, ideas for combat macros, and charts that list most all of the macro-able texts. Hope ya'll find it useful!

Thank you, but macros for gear and ability changes take far too long to exectute once you reach LV 30.
Give us something that actually works as it should, SE. Fast and efficient.
I don't want o have to learn a programming language just to swap gear.

I agree with that macros for gear and actions take too long. (Yoshi-p did mention they plan to change this though and have something better and faster implemented)

I really don't think macros are very good outside of targeting a monster (battle target) and last I tried that doesn't work in FFXIV.

If we had multiple action bars the need for macros would be almost negligible.

It's not like you have to change jobs frequently. I've set this up myself, five macro buttons per job. It takes time to set up, but only about a minute to run them all for one job. A minute is long, but again, you don't have to do it that frequently.

And yes, one of the coming updates is supposed to save ability/equipment selections to the server so that changing class will incorporate all your previous settings, which will render all the work I've put into this needless.
