Your opinion except for the fact things takes time. Good luck trying to find another mmo with as much content on launch as this one. Hint, there won't be any for awhile. SE doesn't have to answer to investors and there hasn't been as much starting content on an mmo since 2004 as I mentioned before. If you're going to bounce from mmo to mmo looking for an mmo with as much content as say current WoW on release you won't find any. Wild Star won't have it. ESO won't have it. Etc. Oh, and this has been the first mmo in years that after the two month drop off point we've gone up in subscribers rather than down. Rag on the game as much as you want but it's going to be here for quite some time as long as the devs don't do anything colossally stupid.
Game isn't broken by the way. It's incomplete. So is every mmo at launch. Also every mmo misses things that they wanted in at launch. WoW was missing dungeons too at launch that they wanted in. They also intended to have a pvp system in place (even if it wasn't battlegrounds) with benefits and rewards.
A lot of their content (I've been following it and was considering getting it in hopes it would be the next mmo that could hook me while I was 95% certain FF14 would crash and burn.) that they mentioned isn't end game content. They state that they want a lot of end game content. So has every mmo developer. When asked to talk about their end game content they focused discussion on 40v40 RVR pvp. They didn't talk much about the pve side of things. They also talked about how different end game pieces will be randomized in terms of looks putting variety at what people have but that's not really a talk about "how many" end game dungeons there are or "How long" they'll last. They also stated they didn't want to cater to the 1% (world firsts types) and want to cater to the casuals. If they cater to the casuals what makes you think their end game content will last longer than here?Your white knighting aside, you keep saying the numbers have gone up, care to source that? Also, Wild Star I guarantee will have more content than this when its released, in fact its one of the things their dev team keeps stressing over and over again. Quote me on it when its released!
You know who also talked a big game? SWTOR. If Wild Star makes me eat my words I'll probably quit FF14 and play it. I play what I find is the most fun game out. So far? You can resort to all the Ad Hominems you want but currently FF14 has offered a bigger end game experience than any mmo launch in recent years.
By the way. I have listed complaints about this game but I have more likes than I do complaints. I have also never resorted to the usual "Just unsub" or anything of the sort. One of my biggest complaints is the asinine post limit crap on the forums which is why I'm editing this post right now. You know a difference between us? I don't insult someone for having a different view I also don't sit on forums of a game I don't like. I just leave silently. As mentioned, if Wild Star is better? I'll leave. I also won't be posting here telling everyone "how much better" it is but no. I expect I'd see you on the wild star forums bashing that game when it launches as well. Including the next game, and the next, and the next..

Again, you had your free month (or 14 days), to decide whether or not you wanted to stay or leave. Yet, 3 months into Launch you are still playing the game.
Why are you playing/paying a game you call trash anyways?
Edit: and it's 12 bucks a month ( for me it's 47 bucks for 6 months) best deal for me.

I am definitely not logging in as much as I used to. But I look forward to 2.1 to breath some albeit temporary life back into things.
I mean outside of Hitting up coil there is not a whole lot that is actually interesting to me. But hey what ya gona do? Make a post on the interwebs and look to commiserate with fellows who are in the same situation as you that's what.

Damm that's pretty sad if it's true.
Castrum = obsolete
Prae = obsolete
Primals = obsolete
AK = maybe once in awhile
WP = Speed run grindfest snorefest.
BC = Statics, lockouts.
Played Neverwinter f2p and the end game was more satisfying for longer than FFXIV.

I have noticed a thinning in the crow for a couple of weeks.
It's as i have said before, give it 6 months and we will start seeing server mergers..
I have said all along SE jumped the gun with sooo many servers.
Yes, i understand the reason why so many servers, but come on, we all knew THAT many
peeps were not going to be around after the first 90 days...

Abbysea/Seekers of Adoulin anyone??
my FC friends just stop loggin in the past week.
They come to collect ToM point after reset and never login again..Because they don't want to do CoB and they feel like nothing to do in this game anymore.
Yes, there is not many things to do in this game once you got all Relics and got all your DL for all the jobs.
The only thing you can do is DoL/DoH but for most of 1.0 players, they all max out and nothing to do anymore.
I'm kinda sad that it's like a ghost FC now...donno how can SE bring back peopole..Not sure about patch 2.1 too that can bring back people or not.
Because once they leave, they leave for good and never come back.
Sorry, but that is blatantly false. I know Tera, had much more content and just basic features overall at launch. I am quite sure it's not the only one since 2004, either.
In fact, it's quite possibly the opposite. For example, this is one of the few, if not the only triple A subscription game that launched without any form of PvP whatsoever in recent years. It's almost hard to take you seriously when you claim such silly things. Just, saying.
