I bet you have a GameStop Discount card ($14.99) and yet you probably don't complain about that.

I do not, there isn't even a gamestop within 20 miles of me nor do I use their online store. This also doesn't address the issue i'm raising. You're simply making an irrelevant accusation without any sort of basis.

Personally I despise Call of Duty and 90% of the FPS market.

I wasn't asking for your opinion of the game, I was making an example by naming a widely played game (regardless of how good people think it is). The point is, you don't need any kind of paid online service to play anything other than subscription MMOs on the PC.

Not only the maintenance and servers are bing paid for but also the discounts and free games you get from being a + member.

This isn't the part I have a problem with. Those are appropriate benefits for that kind of service. Requiring it for something as basic as online multiplayer which until now basically every gamer everywhere was able to enjoy for free is what I have a problem with.
