question about PS4 version

You can't sign in to the account on more than one platform at a time. You also still couldn't create mules as they're still on the same account, not on your friend list. Unless you create separate accounts and pay for 2 subscriptions.

When you register you key code which comes with each version of the game.
PC , PS3 and soon PS4 this code allows for that particular device to load the game client and yes you can load more than one at a time. just not the same character / toon you created at the same time.. that would be impossible. but alt. characters yes.

Dude relax. If you don't need Xbox gold to play ffxi I don't think Sony is that stupid to force you to pay for psn just to play a mmo. You don't need a paid psn account to play dc universe on the ps4

I'm done with consoles, no matter what they do. My pc has better specs than both the new consoles. I'm just going to game on PC and stop playing on console all together. I can live without exclusive games.

So yeah, viva la PC.

As others have said, no, it's not required. It's even been said, by Sony, that if the publisher provides their own servers they can choose if the player needs PSN+ or not. And SE has already said not.

The local store SONY rep specifically told me I would NOT need PS+ for FFXIV or pretty much any MMO as they do not use the SONY servers.

Games like Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Dead Light, etc will need PS+ because they use SONY servers to run the Multiplayer.

If you want the PS4 version for Free you will no longer be able to log into the game using the PS3. However.. if you choose to buy the PS4 version you could in effect have both games signed in on the same account giving you a rare option to create MULES by sending yourself Freind Request to yourself.

You cannot do this; it can't currently be done with a PS3 and PC, and thus you won't be able to do it with PS3 and PS4, or PS4 and PC.

but wow, $5 a month to play *any* ps4 game online? fark that, I'd be really suprised if that didn't push more people to join the PC master race.
