I think the game is fun. And I know what a crap rushed game looks like. I highly suggest looking up Two worlds (one). Just be glad it isn't THAT BAD.
Most people forgot or ignored the letter of appology or misinturprated it, or simply didn't believe it. Alpha and beta was too buggy and unstable to ad much to the game at release. And no one liked what was already in game after release.

But seriously, if you do not enjoy the game you never will. No matter how they fix it, you will always have some grievence. Or simply go "its been x months and just now fixed it... lame."

Honestly look at it from the developers point of view, there taking 3-5 years worth of developement and redoing it by the end of summer. And even still once they fix what they need. Everything will be ongoing, content, tweaks fixes etc. They are not fixing it then stoping. Which is what a few people sound like. Truth be told I seen a few mmo in worst shape then ffxiv.

so is what you are saying is that the people that do not like the game should have no voice in what it would take for it to get better and bring the vast majority of those players back? from a business standpoint they'd be better listening to the people that left than the people that stayed. why? because there's alotttttttt more of them than there is of us that stayed.

remember i say this as a current player that stayed not one of the ones that left. as a business they would get more people playing by listening to the 470k people that left instead of the 30k still playing.

that 30K is not even a real proven number. Just someone thought up. Please stop using falsified numbers to prove a point. It makes you look silly.

And even still 30K is devided over several servers we only have about 12 servers. so thats 1-3K a server. I seen servers on ffxi with less. And that is better then Aion which last I played only has 5 of them, and no one even hit cap yet. (when i played)

I have seen the transition for FFXIV since it's been launch last yeat till now. I can say that the devs really put in a good job to get the game to where it is now but there are always rooms for improvement. Keep up the good work, ganbaru ^^

omg are you really going to go crazy over the actual numbers. it doesn't matter if it is 10k 20k 30k or 100k and none of us know because they removed the option to see active members in game. unless the number is over 250k, which we all know it is nowhere near there, then my point is just as valid. the validity is that over a half million copies were sold and more people have left than are still in game. that would make them the majority however you want to split hairs and say it's not 30k it's 30,001.

you also have to remember those active players are not even all individual accounts. for example i have 2 characters on karnak and one is used as nothing more than a mule. i also know people with 5 or more extra characters.

I have no problems admitting that I love this game. I love its people, its players, its atmosphere, its lore, its scenery, its political conflicts... And for all that, I do look past the lack of goals and major content. I have a great linkshell to adventure with and a character I'm comfortable with.

With every update the developers make, the game improves. And having stayed since the official release, I am not about to leave now in these changing times.

Thumbs up to the developers for giving us this.
