choco ranking - fastest way to rank?

Form a Party of 4 each with their chocobos and go to Urth's Gift near Quarrymill in South Shroud and slaughter the water elementals and other nearby mobs. Do your best to pull them in such a way you link as many as possible, then after you've pulled them all, gather them around the big crystal nearby (blocking line of sight forcing them to get close to you). When you pull links, there is a 25% bonus per mob for each mob that linked when you pulled. (e.g. if 2 mobs link, your bird will get +50% exp (actually 49%) from each mob)

This is pretty much the best way both to level chocobos and spiritbond gear.

Me on my WHM Chocobo. It took a LOT of grinding at the water sprites near Quarrymill, I already had all classes 50 so I had to do it the hard way as it only got to rank 4 by the time my Arcanist was level 50.

Anyway prepare for a long long grind! But you can spiritbond stuff at same time and make a lot of gil.

Rank 9-10 took about 12 hour of non stop pulling at water sprite camp.

So, what I'm taking away from this; grinding is good, but it's easier to do if you do it in conjunction with class/job levelling. I don't have a single DoW/DoM 50 and my Chocobo should hit rank 4 today.

One for each tree. You have to rank the Chocobo to 10 and put all points into the healing tree to get that one.

these are all of the known types, blackmage hasn't been released yet though (or we haven't figured out how to get it)
