In Progress Dungeons

This has already been responded to by the devs, the join group in progress tool was only added to facilitate wait times, and help out parties that lose someone, it is not intended to give people a 5 minute run and get full rewards, this is just a side-effect, and you should all just count these occurrences as "lucky".

For arguments sake, say they gave you the option to only queue for in progress dungeons, if everyone wants to join an in progress dungeon, there has to be a fresh one that lost a member before even 1 person will be pulled from that queue. You would be waiting for hours, it's not like it would be "oh there are 500 people who all want an in progress dungeon, well, there are 5 groups that need members, ok, 5 of them get groups, the other 495 get to sit there. It's not like you'd magically all get dungeons 3/4 done.

The development team is aware of the fact that there are some players who will constantly withdraw when you are being matched with players via the Duty Finder. They plan on implementing countermeasures for this to decrease the frequency in which this happens; however, they will not be able to address this right away as there are other wrapped up with other high priority tasks. On another note regarding this, we do not plan on giving penalties to these players who withdraw when you are getting ready to commence due to the fact that there is a possibility that players who do not have malicious intent could be penalized.
