I think we are entitled to get content related to our level. A LV13 item has no battle-use for a LV45 class. Should have just made the quests at most LV25. This restriction is causing my alt character to grind, and I'd hate to see a new player race through the story just because SE made a stupid decision.

Im not talking about"putting time into the game"Grinding for lvl50 AF is what makes the game fun, the exitment of looking forward to getting it.

I'm talking about limited event thats not going to be around anymore(yes it will be back in feb, but then there will be other ppl who wont get items).I'm not talking about xmas and h-ween, they come every year.

This armor is lvl13, you're not going to wear it for a long time. Its basicly "dress up" content. So would it be so bad to let everyone that play right now have it? Its not even FFXIV.Its for promoting the Lightning returns game isnt it?

I play right now. I love playing dress-up. I love to work for my game content.

But I cant do that this time can I?
If it would come back every year I wouldnt care, I would gladly wait.

And you cant rly say this is a reward for playing FFXIV from the start either, since its ulitmatly promoting a different game.

I just wanted to share my thoughts, ty for listening

My wife and I both play and lead one of the largest free companies on Midgardsormr. We play casually. Maybe work on your time management.

Man up, grind if you want the gear bad enough. Its a reward meaning you have to earn it, I'm sure some of you people demand schools to give trophies to your kids that don't win at anything.

This isn't game breaking content, people. As stated before, it's being repeated in Feb. Instead of whining over how you have been slighted, why not either grind to 45 or just be patient, take your time leveling (which, really, means it IS your fault when it comes to your level) and just do the quests in Feb.

All SE is doing is giving some folks who enjoy collecting clothes something unique and limited. It will in NO WAY help you raid or turn you into the King or Queen of Old Gridania, it just makes you look (arguably) cool/pretty/wotever.

We can't though, if it's a limited event. In this case, yeah, it's doable thanks to it being re-released in February, but hopefully they won't do this with a one time event, as many will not be able to have fun with it. I like the idea of rewarding high level players, but not in limited time event. For an event specifically catered towards high level players? Hell yeah. But just giving some of the lower leveled players a pair of gloves would be a little frustrating. Well, my side characters are higher level than my fave, so this is really just my personal view on such matters

Thing is, the same type of people that are complaining about this would also be the ones complaining that they're being punished for being low-level and aren't allowed to participate in the high-level event.

The progression from lv 12 to lv 45 is simple.

    1) It gives low-level / casual players incentive to play more and/or build a class/job in order to participate in the event.
    2) It gives high-level players incentive to participate, period.

If every aspect of an event is catered to lower levels, how much participation would you expect from a more advanced crowd? Especially when you take into consideration how this game penalizes you for participating in content below your level range (i.e. level synch, loss of abilities and stats you'd pretty much grown accustomed to having)

From the lower-level perspective, this is incentive to play more. To progress from lv 12 to lv 45 in 3 weeks is very doable, and since they're repeating the event in 3 months, you don't even have to push yourself that hard.

The prizes for participation in this "promotional event" are more about the collection, the "I did it" factor, rather than for practical use. Just look at the ilvl - 13! the reason for this should be painfully obvious. So if you're so offended by not being able to participate in the full event, maybe that's just a sign you need to play more, and if that's not possible...it isn't SE's fault.

And can I ask what high level content we're talking about here? I mean, the rewards from this event are all level 13, right? Wouldn't logic dictate that the highest level requirement for completing this event be... 13??

Usually I would agree with most posters here when it comes to content level requirements, but frankly I don't think seasonal or limited events should be included in that. I don't mind having to level up to access normal always-available content, that is simply expected. But it has always annoyed the hell out of me when other MMOs have restricted seasonal events to max level players. They are short-term events with mostly only vanity gear, and should be available to all at a reasonable level. Especially in this case, where the usable gear you do get is only level 13.

Max level needed for this quest is 45, and as people have said numerous times already, it is NOT hard to get that level in a relatively quick time frame. Today is the 20th, Meaning you have over 2 weeks left to hit that level. Playing casually (2 hours or so a day) one could easily hit 45 (and I mean playing, not lazing around town). I do not see how people find the level restriction in this game daunting, it is very easy to level in FFXIV.
