Dear Healers that don't DPS in dungeons

I don't understand.

SCH is a DPS job, Eos is the healer.

I don't understand either. With this line of reasoning, perhaps WHM should have a cute little moogle pet that can DPS for us while we heal. Seems fair enough.

Considering I had a run today on my lowbie Archer where the tank dropped -immediately- at the last boss, cuz the healer was so busy dps'ing that he didn't realize he needed to heal the tank...

I like to dps if I can. But usually my tank is suicidal so I'm on full-time healer duty. :S

That brings nothing to the thread. Problem is not missing empty ( not like its possible to miss mp) but mostly people who are not good enough to do 2 things

So since people are bad, they just stand around INCASE they need to cure

I honestly don't worry about dpsing in WP most of the time because the tanks I tend to run with will grab three or more large groups and I'm working my ass off trying to keep him alive as well as myself because my heal spam grabs agro on stragglers. Only time I tend to DPS is on boss fights when its more of a snooze fest, otherwise I am too busy trying to keep that suicidal tank alive. Even with my pet actions macro'd to my phsyick and adloquium I'm still having to lustrate him out the ass since they like to stand in those stupid aoe's that take a good chunk when his cd's run out.

I know that part. Meant it for the people who keep saying they are pulling threat off MT

I just don't get people who don't want to push their job (I onry heal thats mah job)

I solo healed chimera, hydra, ifrit, garuda and titan and was still able to nuke

Don't think it is a laziness issue per say for most of us. Its more what is more important, making sure the party stays alive or dpsing. At least that is what it is for me. I would rather make sure the party stays alive rather then dps, but when if I can swiftcast a shadow flare in cleric stance and pop out quickly I will. But if I can't, I'm not going to sweat it as my primary job is to keep people alive. We are in a group and we all have jobs to do. If someone dies that person is not doing anything and I fail at my job (or they fail if they can't dodge crap).

Also....love tanks that move out of aoe's instead of go bunker and just stand there and want me to slam buttons to keep them alive. CLARIFICATION: By aoe's I mean ground based avoidable aoe's like the leeches in WP. Getting hit with four of those at once as well as the birds is near deadly. Side step that crap please.

Well that goes without saying. There is no point in DPS'ing if your not keeping ppl alive but the key to DD WHM/SCH is knowing when to DD and when to heal. Dancing in and out of stance.

My cure II's does about 1700~ HP average unbuffed so topping my tank is relatively easy
