    Discussion on selling group slots

I a question for people. Do you think selling group slots for things like the relic quest completion is against the terms of service?

My thinking on it is that it requires people to pay 400k for titan alone most of the time. This encourages people to use gil selling services as there are no easy way to get that money in a short amount of time. What do you guys think? Just wanting peoples thoughts on it.

It's not against the terms of service if it's sold for gil or other in-game items. If it's sold for real money, then it is against the terms.

Whether or not it promotes RMT is an entirely different matter.

No easy way to get that money in a short amount of time? Boy you seems to have no idea about the marktplace

Farm tomes sell Potash. Takes you 3 days and you got that money.

I actually encourage selling runs etc. it is a legit way for people don't having a craft to make money with there DoW or DoM

I btw never sold a run and never will befor someone jumps on the buthurt Train about my post.

    BTW:
There are a lot of way to make a lot of cash extremly fast As an example Materia selling.

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

Thing is that currency amount would need to be in on a regular basis and it takes time to manufacture that amount via soulbind items/materia farming and crafting. The easiest way is by buying gil. I'm just curious on peoples views on it. As someone thats done the relic quest on my sch I didn't find it that difficult (except pugs on titan that was interesting). Just something I was thinking about sitting in the revenant waiting for DF to pop.

People who buy gil will buy gil no matter what they want to buy. Selling slots does not encourage gil buying any more than crafters encourage gil buying.

and thats true...was just thinking about it from an economy standpoint. It gives gil sellers a rich market to work with because of that and I really hate gil sellers...they freaking annoy me.

    400k? I haven't seen anything over 150k in weeks.

That said, it's not even remotely hard or time consuming to get either amount. Even a casual player with only an hour or two a day can get the money for it in a couple of days.

I am forced to concede that, while I don't personally like the practice, it's perfectly legit within the confines of the game. The reason it bothers me dates back to my experiences in Final Fantasy XI, where HNM's would be claimed and killed by groups strictly looking to sell the drops when there were other groups there looking for legit kills to reinforce their own ranks. The fact that people are selling instanced kills, which doesn't really affect the rest of the player base, bothers me less. It's all just a little too reminiscent of those old days for me to hop on the run-selling bandwagon, though.
