Gear item lvl vs state on gear question.

Hi all I know many people who think that it is all about getting full DL or better etc but I begin to wonder it the actual item lvl has anything to do with damage vs the state on items?

For a example my head gear for BRD atm is a Behemoths helm item lvl 50 with dex +8, str +8, vit +8, critical hit +8 and determination +9

I wonder if the determination +9 is better than the DL eye patch of Aiming with dex +12, vit +14 acc +11 critical +16.

DL will give +4 dex +8 vit +4 critical hits + more acc not that i ever miss a shot.

I ask if what is the best damage overall on the two items and if item lvl does a difference?

Just the 4 DEX from the DL eye patch destroys the behemoth helm. I am not sure if ilvl has any effect on the dmg done (other than higher item level has high stats).

DL is pretty much standard, the upgrade you listed is a clear winner. Only DL questionable is hands cause toxo hands(outside of ilv70 crafted/melded stuff). Ilv wise no DL is gonna beat a ilv90 item. Higher ilv higher stats it's pretty clear, last i looked it's assumed :1weapon dmg=3primary stat // 1primary stat=6other stat:.

The eye patch is better. The det +9 is nice, but not as good as the extra dex, crit, and acc you will get. If you are planning on running coil, vit will be important later on, but not necessary for the first 4 turns. Accuracy is always nice in coil, since the more i90 gear you get the less accuracy it will carry on it.

Thanks guys for reply, I just got the eye patch so no longer holding on to the behemoth helm for other than the look. You convinced me sir that the patch is best even for coil if not other
