The Armoire: Are there any plans to make it more... useful?

In patch 2.1, we will be expanding the number of items that you can place within the armoire:

• Seasonal items from events that took place after the launch of A Realm Reborn
• Items from the "Lightning Strikes" event
• Collector's Edition bonus items
• Pre-order bonus items
• Main tools obtained from the level 50 Disciples of the Hand class quests

Any chance of relics for DoW/DoM being put in there? Or af1 gear from myth considering we can put in our job armor and myth is little more than job armor with a different color set?

These changes are nice and are much needed, however the slots these pieces take up will just be taken over again by the many vanity pieces that are being added in 2.1. People who have been lvl 50 for a while now will have no use for the new ilvl 60 gear in hardmodes/Pharos and yet they may want it for vanity. Same thing goes for CT gear where people who have been doing coil or have myth capped a lot will have no use for CT gear on their main class, which again will be for only vanity.

Stop putting so much emphasis on vanity when there is not even a vanity slot, literally half or more of the gear we will be able to get in 2.1 will be for nothing more than vanity. With 2 retainers and the amount of inventory slots we have it's just not enough to hold so much vanity, especially when many people hold crafting mats knowing that many will be used in housing. If the armoire is meant for vanity then make it for vanity when we are getting so much of it thrown down our throats in 2.1.

You know how awesome it sounds to tell people "oh hey you can just delete the old item and spend 1-2 weeks capping myth for it again if you want the look back"? As I said af1 is nothing more than a recolor of our job armor we get while leveling, why can we put our job armor in but not the recolor of it?

Because the job armor is Truly Unique in that it cannot by any means be reacquired in the game.
Same with event items that are only avaiable once or for limited time and will never be avaiable again.

If the item doesn't falls under "Cannot ever be reacquired" aegis, then it can go in the armoire. If you CAN reacquire it at some point, then it cannot go in the armoire.
