they will not do a wipe
this has been stated SEVERAL times by yoshi

No they said they will never do a character wipe.

To be honest, I think they should not have assured no wiping of characters.

I believe that decision must have somewhat restricted possible modifications to the game, because with that in mind, they cannot make changes that will greatly affect the classes, like the removal of redundant classes or drastic reassignment of skill between classes or even renaming of classes.
