Scholar gear for WP/AK

What gears would suffice to run WP/AK without having DL gears? - since Im not making it my main, I dont really plan on buying/investing tomes in it (farming tomes is it's only purpose)

Any suggestions?

AF gear is more than enough for both of them. I'd recommend a Grand Company weapon or the crafted Item Level 55 weapons that you can get in the markets.

Untill you get DL, AF Body and Legs, Warlock Hat (WP) and the rest Strategos (AK) will suffice

The highest level normal accessories will be fine, so whatever belt you can get your hands on and any Turquoise accessories. Obviously, HQ ones are ideal.

Please remember, Wanderer's Palace drops item level 55 gear and can be done before the story, and Amdapor Keep drops item level 60 gear. Darklight gear is item level 70 so you do not need any of it to do these dungeons, but it does help. They are designed to be do-able as a fresh level 50.

For first-time runs, AF & ilvl49 accessories are about all you need. By the game standards, these are entry level 50 dungeons, so as long as you're wearing at least ilvl45 gear you should be ok, but recommended is AF and ilvl49 accessories.

I honestly recommend the HQ ilvl 55 crafted militia/imperial set. Reason being that not only is it better than your AF, but you can convert it into materia and make money.
