Can we have some infos about Frontlines ?

Helloooo !

In the glorious days of the game's beta, we were told that Frontlines would be released 6 months after the release.

I'm not really in the situation that I'm cryin and starvin for more content, enjoyin the game with multiple toons and what not atm, is good is nice. However, I did come because of Frontlines PvP, in the very first place.

So yeah, is the release date still maintained ? because if so, if I'm not mistaken it'd be for ... 2.2 !

Some infos would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance if you can give some

To be honest(Im a hardcore PvPer so dont shoot me for saying this) but if Competitive PvP is your main focus for a Final Fantasy game you will most likely end up dissapointed. Hope I'm wrong when I say this, but that's the way it looks currently. It will always be a PvE game first and foremost.

It is, and no one's asking it to be anything else, but that doesn't mean the pvp content can't be an enjoyable part of the game and it doesn't mean that it can't be done well.

Well as i said, i for one am hoping the PvP content is done well, atleast semi well. But i just know that anyone whos expecting real competitive PvP from this game is going to be 100% let down. With the way the network code is right now, the 0.3 second delay is going to hurt Melee big time in PvP already as it is, i can pretty much guarentee ranged domination. But we'll see!

Considering YoshiP has played quite a bit of DAoC, I'm hoping Frontlines will be somewhat similar to the castle sieges there.

That being said, I'm not getting my hopes up too much considering ARR is mainly a PvE game. For PvP I'm keeping my eye on Camelot Unchained for the moment.

Why people keep repeating that it ll mainly be a PvE game ?

For sure it won't be a 100% focused PvP title but there's enough of truelly well thought PvP systems (at least announced) to please PvP players, I don't think that Frontlines gonna be a "minor" part of the game. Its Realm vs Realm where the 3 states battle each other and you need crafters / gatherers to be succesfull in.

On top, skills wont be behavin in the same way of the PvE ones and that s something I'm waitin since like, Guild Wars 1. + additionnal and proper pvp skills. Proper pvp armors, with proper pvp materias and what not. Honestly I wouldn't play this game if it was only for the easy PvE it propose

Yoshi is a pretty hardcore and avid PvPer btw, no doubt he ll do PvP right just like he did with PvE
