Given that it was patched IN to the game, I doubt it'll be removed. And it's a good thing, people shouldn't be allowed to sit around taking up server space if there is only limited room. If you're not playing, get off. There are no bazaars in this game so there's no gameplay reason to stay logged in.

given that it was never intended, and there is tons of ways to get around it, it was bound to get removed sooner or later when they settle the server issues that over-population brought and the game-hoppers leave
