Type /clock it tells you how long until the Leves reset then you can get a new set. You can get 8 regional and 8 local so 16 in total every reset. They reset every 36 hours. If you have done all the Leves of a certain rank and still have not used all 8 for that reset try a different city to collect some more.

For example if you want to do R20 Battle Leves then you can get 3 from Limsa, 3 from Ul'dah then you have 2 left which you can pick up in Gridania.

Where do i get regional guildleves?

How do i get to the major cities as a lowbie, without getting aggro? And is it worth it to spend all that time running between the cities, as opposed to just grinding mobs?

regionals and locals are 2 npcs at the same desk in town

and to get to other citys, you can run pretty safely to them, but it takes a while
personaly i just would buy a teleport for your first time to each city if you dont wanna run
and id do all my leves in 1 city where possible, AND do behests otherwise while grinding(behests are great sp)

Each main city has a Guildleve Master in the Adventurer's Guild- Piralnaut in Limsa Lominsa, Gontrant in Gridania and Totonawa in Ul’dah.

You can get to each major city pretty easily even at low level as a "lowbie", just stick to the paths as they don't tend to have aggro mobs on them. I think the majority of players tend to stick to Ul'dah, but you may want to go to each city just to experience the feel and pick up new quests and leves

Honestly a good linkshell goes a long way in this game. Most that have been around for a bit have a variety of crafters of all ranks that you can request parts from and whatnot. Hell the LS I'm in has time specifically set aside for people to get materials, craft things and help others gear up properly.

KK, got the guildleve thing figured out. So last question, and once again thank so much for the info: Is a behest that quest situation you join from the brush warden or whatever that randomly shows up at each camp?

yes, every 30 minutes at each camp

Yes it is. They pop up every 30 minutes at the camp, you just talk to them and join behest.

I wouldn't even worry about your gear 'til at least rank 25 or so. The fact that you can get to rank 20 in roughly 3 hours makes buying gear at rank 10 a waste of gil.
