If we're not getting chocobo's.... do away with Anima all together.

If we're not going to have chocobo's as mounts to ride around on, SE should get rid of useing anima as main mode of transportation. Speaking as a hardcore player anima regenarates too slow, so SE should stop with anima all together and let us travel free.
If we get to ride those yellow birds one day, which i hope so, the anima loss would be negligible.

For a long time, pretty much the only way to get from place to place in XI was to find a whm to teleport you, and even then you had to pay them or it was hard to find one in the first place. Enough with the instant gratification and work for something for a change.

Just ignore them and they'll eventually go away. They're only looking for the fools who answer them. As soon as they see they haven't hooked anybody, they'll leave or try again in another way. There's also the report feature to let the moderators know that someone is being mean.

Well, you must think about what you are saying. For one, its pretty much guaranteed we are getting chocobos. Secondly, having infinite anima would ruin much of the exploration and travel in the game. Its not much of a game world right now even, what kind of open world would it be if we could freely travel anywhere instantly? Its part of what ruined Oblivion.

I actually agree with this, I like traveling on a chocobo, i dont mind the sights, but walking is just too slow and using anime is too fast you dont have the joy of traveling, plus the regeneration time is so slow, i would definatly agree with removing anima to bring in chocobos

I have to disagree, and I do think we will get them as mounts, but removing the anima system would be killer to me and players like me... It is so nice to be able to port and meet up with all my friends pretty easy, without having to go to too much trouble.
Now Adding mounds and things of interest that I can't port to, will be a big win when that day comes. So if they add events and other things to do that aren't next to an atherite then you'll see more mounts being used, because people can't port right to where they need to be.

I'm hoping for some form of breeding or ownership of the chocobo that will allow us to call them whenever needed.

the reason you are being called a troll is obvious that because Chocobo are coming, but not now not soon, there no need to make up such a thread as this because is confirm that Chocobo, airships are coming. Check back the latest 3 interviews with Yoshi-P.
