The Lighter side of Lag.

So we have all seen the numerous threads about lag, but has anyone considered the lighter side of it all?....yes I know there is not really any 

And yes I have lag issues and no I am not an IT guru! I play on a PS3 in Western Australia and I ran a tracert (from home computer) and had numerous hops at 350ms……. Awesome fun…not

From my experience to date some of the special abilities and other things that I have found amusing (you need to be able to laugh) are

1. Self-Invisibility
a. How interesting is it you can move without seeing yourself..or your Chocobo. Just a shame others can see you though. Was it me changing the camera position or not…

2. Glimmerman Abilities (Steven Segal Movie)
a. All these fellow adventures and enemies seem to fight in and out of another plane of existence. One moment you see them and then bang they are gone, moved or dead….no wonder Lightening can come into this realm.

3. Wrong Gear
a. I can be a carpenter while in my Bard gear, or for that matter any class. Sometimes when I change jobs too quickly I need wait to work out what I have actually changed into. Gives a moment of self-reflection

4. Crafting Risk taking
a. Liven things up and hit your next action before the orb reappears.

5. Hide and Seek
a. How often do you travel somewhere and no one is there. Cheeky buggers are playing with you.
b. Also messes with your head…I just looked there and that was not there before…damm how did I miss that large carriage.

6. Excuses
a. Best cover ever for being crap, stuffing up or being distracted…it was lag!

7. Bignoting (sort of opposite of above)
a. I am so good because I can dodge/predict it all (yes some of you are probably that good and just being honest)

8. Debating
a. Number of opinions on both sides on whose fault It is (ISP vs SE) provides for some interesting reading and clearly no one really f knows , or can convince the other side. After reading a heap I still am none the wiser who is to blame etc…..i Just want it sorted.

I am sure there are more things I find “funny’ (don’t even know if they all relate to lag) but that’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

Tl;DR just having some fun during lunch break. Back to it now.
