Lightning Strikes Event

Lightning lives up to her name, as she seems to pop into view for only a split second at a time before disappearing again!

Seriously though, I feel like making the event FATE-based was an awful idea...half of the realm is on the spawn area of the fate, making the Fate super laggy. By the time the enemies pop up onto the screen, they're already dead. I have done the event several times, and I'm lucky to see Lightning's dialogue actually pop up, let alone actually see her fight. I think I saw her once...very, very briefly.

I wish the devs had spent more time on this event. I'd have loved for it to be instanced, rather than done in FATE events, with some nice voiced cutscenes along the way.

try doing it on the ps3.. its worse then on the pc -.- I saw her very very shortly.. I think enough to make out it was her, but not enough for a closer look.

There's an NPC right beside Petyr Winsome (the quest giver in Limsa Lominsa) where you can turn in your Otherworldly Packages for weapons. He may be hard to spot if there's a huge throng of people hanging around.

Back to my statement. I think events like this should be available to all levels, even lower levels. I think that some of the content only being available to high levels is a poor decision in design. Not everyone has the time nor patience to level another character to the required level. In my case I'd like to have both the male and female versions coming from this event. But due to real life time constraints I'm restricted to only being able to get them on my two highest toons; which are both male. (And I have no fantasia.)

Yeah, I have a female main and a male alt, and i want the alt to have Snow's outfit, but he's only lvl 32. Time to grind like mad! And if I miss it this go around, there's always February :B

This is such a piss poor excuse it's insane already. I mean really? Theres an insane amount of people with jobs, some two, and are able to have a level 50 male and female ready to go do the content. Dont confuse "cant" with "wont". If you don't want to level a female character, then don't, period; But don't complain you cant get the female version of the gear, what are you going to do cross dress? I sure as hell don't care if i can get my characters opposite gender gear. But whatever, i know I'm just raging at deaf ears usually.

Shouldn't you guys "pin" this thread? I hope they fix the NPC in field/events priority in the near future. Participating in a promotional event where Lightning appears and not being able to actually see Lightning, is dissapointing. I'm not a huge fan of FF XIII, anyway, but wth, it's a promotional spot just for fun!
