I haven't done the event yet, but if we were to use Fantasia item after completing the event and changed gender, would it be possible to obtain the equipment for that gender? In other words, if I were to obtain all of Snow's gear, would it be possible to obtain Lightning's gear to accommodate for the change?

I don't think so, because they're quests, and you can't get the quests again on the same character.

Do the fates appear in different locations? I hope it's not a mess like Odin's.

  As we go through each phase, we’ll be having some high level FATEs; however, we’ve balanced them so they can be cleared with only four people, so don’t worry if the amount of participants decrease as the event is wrapping up.

We also understand that there are a lot of people who are trying to do this event and there may be congestion, so we ask that if you experience this to just give it a bit of time.

Um, congestion is totally insufficient to describe how unplayable FATEs become - these FATE in in particular. Please try to get future events implemented in such a way that they are instanced.

Anyway, there's now reason way anyone/ anywhere shouldn't be lv.15+ or lv.25+ for that matter. Causal should at least have a lv.50 job by now, let's be srs about this. Oh, I understand that each phase isn't required you start the previous phase for the quest, that's good!
(it's not like anyone will be ignoring this event...or will they?)

Because of course everyone who is ever going to play this game started at launch, and nobody else is ever going to buy it at a later time.

You know, there are people who don't choose to rush to 50, and SE does not obligate anyone to do so. If you want to sit on level 15 for 6 months, SE is still going to make the game enjoyable for you.

Wrong. I don't have a level 50 job and I have been playing since beta 3 so its not like I don't know the game mechanics. Its just that my pace is my pace. Not yours or anyone else's. I enjoy the game..alot. I have 3 level 30+ classes (with the associated job souls) and 3 others at 15+. I also have every crafting/gathering class to level 30+ except cooking (15+) and fishing (0 - no interest...yet) This is all on one character, not alts so I grind tons and not just a fate runner either, although I use that option when I feel like it. I COULD have a 50 if that was my goal but you stated everyone SHOULD. Two altogether different scenarios so I'll leave it at you meant could and not should. I pay so I play at my pace not yours.

This. My first two gold FATES were a complete waste of time, as Lightning didn't show up.

Y'know, I'm grateful for the event (I like the weapons) but the FATE pops every half an hour or so, so I basically spent 2 hours doing nothing but wait around last night.
