Blaming player for not enjoying lack of content and access to better gear in a game that rewards players for participating in content through provision of gear - flawless logic.

I'm not actually attacking Swishytail, just flirting with a very old friend who right now is thinking "who the hell is this guy?"
If they remove the myth cap you get to ilvl 90 on at least one job in less than a week, if not a day. If you're in full ilvl 90 you'll be able to zoom through coil, replacing certain pieces with what drops to meet the ACC cap. So, no, they won't get rid of it in 2.0. It's likely they will in 2.1 as they want to encourage progress through Coil, but on the other hand they also want you to gear up through CT and removing the cap would just make CT even more pointless for most.
Just think about it for a bit: Coil isn't even supposed to be in the game. Why is it in the game? Why are recolors of AF items in the game? Why have they limited Coil to a week and AF+1 to a cap? Why can we get full Darklight in a few days (above and beyond for Titan and entry level gear for CT), yet this ilvl 90 gear is only available through a cap per week?
I don't think I need to spell it out for you, so I'll just let you put it together yourself.
Personally I do not want them to -remove- the myth cap. I want them to raise it. Currently it takes 5+ months to get gear for a single job so where is the incentive to work on a second job while we wait for more content? Currently you hit the myth cap in a very short amount of time and it leaves people with nothing to do. I've had lots of friend quit already out of boredom and these are all people with 40hr a wk jobs and families.

I agree with the OP in a lot of ways, all I've been doing really aside from AK/WP and coil is leveling my crafts. Why? Because there is no point in leveling another class to 50 until I finish gearing my first main job. Sure, I can get DL gear but I already have a full set of vanya/DL for my 2nd job, solely from capping myth every week, and I'm not even lvl 50 on it yet. At this point I only have 3 crafts left to go and even though I see 2.1 on the horizon I still think that the myth caps need to be adjusted so that we can work on multiple jobs at the same time.
Devs have already said they don't plan on doing this.
