I finally broke my rule of how I've played MMO's. I've always leveled and focused on one character, but after a 28 hour straight grind, I took my Archer class and made it to a level 50 Bard. Just a off topic post from the usual "I'm bored" or "give me this, I want that!"

What's the fastest you've leveled?

Anyway, I haven't tried power leveling yet. I think you could probably do it about 20 hours even if you tried hard enough. I'm interesting on hearing the fastest people have done it though.

I didn't record it but I'm 49 and 20% on my third class. I will get it it's relic too and then move on to bard. I love that you can really level and gear all your classes. (darklight is better than nothing)

Some people will complain that Darklight is not the best so its worthless, but here is something to chew on.

If you get in a group, with FULL DL, you can get a coil drop (accessories and some armor pieces depending on class) that will make you have higher iLvl. Theoretically, you should be able to keep running/farming coil until you get majority of the allagan gear, thus never having to grind Mythology. IMO this is totally valid for an ALT class.

I just hope Crystal Tower doesn't have weekly lockouts because that's going to put a hold on gearing other jobs

I started Friday afternoon at 3:30 and dinged 50 at 7:32 Saturday night. With the longs hours I have been putting in at work, I decided to just veg out for a whole day, order food from my couch and not get up, only to shower, and use the bathroom.

I'm pretty sure my leveling methods weren't that of a true MMO god or goddess but 20 hours seems very feasible. The only point that sucked was when servers became ghost towns and it was just me and another guy in fate parties for like 3 hours until the next wave got online.
