You still didnt answer the question. How many employees do you need to hire to watch over 500k (minimum number) activer player characters, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week?

Programmatic detection means employees don't have to do it. They only have to verify and deal with those detected. If the detection is accurate enough that it never manages to get a false positive that bit could be automatic as well.
