it's pretty ridiculous that they use fates that last literally less than 5s and the entire server is just sitting at them spamming blizzard 2

People spamming AoE are just brainless, probably even bots.

You'd need to level sync to participate and you won't even have access to Blizzard II etc.

Hence, it's absolutely meaningless and serves only to lag/grief others.

blizzard II is only level 12 it syncs just fine

Usually you can't even cast off a spell before a mob dies, only way a BLM can actually get credit is scathe......

What's really disappointing is that, despite how much they like FATEs, they know right now it's a flawed system and yet they decided to make the whole event about them, gathering the whole servers in 2 spots for easy low level FATEs, making it even worse than Behemoth, Oding, Svara and whatever.

Normally what a good designer would do is work around or avoid what he knows it's flawed, instead they decided to push the FATE system at its limit, either we're all testing how bad it is or someone at SE is really stupid.

They coulda just spread it out like Summer event FATEs. Lightning has a unique model and everything and you can't see her past the zerg. It's a waste.

I use Flash on my Pugilist. It's incredibly useful in fates for classes that either don't have an AoE or don't get one until they're a much higher level

Hell, getting them to even load before the fate is over is the issue. (At least for me.)
Don't think blizzard 2 or flash is going to fix that.

Anyway, this event so far has been BS. Then again, I didn't expect much so I'm not disappointed.
