I like Lightning personally and couldn't wait to do her event. Sure she has haters but there are people that like her as well.

To be honest the Quests are disappointing and not challenging at all plus due to the mass of players on one spot you can't even see Lightning. It's like fighting Odin or Behemoth.
Also I expected actually these Fates here...

Yea....8 unique Lightning Fates. What we have on first day is just the intro quest to start you off and give you 2 whole days to collect all the unique vanity weapons.

But yea, people on this forum just love to start hating before anything even begin. No big news

Why is anyone surprised?
We could all tell how noobtastic this event would be by looking at the Summer Event and Halloween.
Events are a joke. I do not expect Christmas to be any good.
They could of made a dungeon based of 13 in here...but nope.

Edit: And stop making these events FATE based.

So I've done both FATEs and didn't get credit for either, bronze on the crabs, gold on gertrude. Anyone else had this problem?

To elaborate; Why design a presumably important promotional event to revolve around FATE which, they must have anticipated, would be turned into a zergfest? We shall see how the higher quests are but I'm preparing myself for more invisible NPCs and mobs. All of which will end on 9th of December. By then we still most likely won't have a miracle fix that will sort out the rendering priorities of PC, NPC and mobs.

Yes it's a lagfest, but all you have to do is go GLA/PLD and spam Flash three or four times, making sure the effect actually hits the mob. That's all I had to do to get credit for the quest. More annoying is all the idiots who insist on spamming Circle of Scorn while there is nothing there. ><

So now I have Light's gauntlets and her gunblade the Blazefire Sabre -sadly though the gunblade's gun part is non functional, making it just a fancy looking sword with a fold out blade. But it's still cool nonetheless.

So I've done both FATEs and didn't get credit for either, bronze on the crabs, gold on gertrude. Anyone else had this problem?

Not sure on crabs but I am sure its the same, but on gertrude, Lighting isn't always there. There is the normal one then the one with lighting in it. You will know its the legit one if you see her text pop up in the middle of the screen.
