    Fullscreen lag 770gtx

    Hello,

I own a 770 gtx gigabyte 2gb and with ffxiv a realm reborn I get very choppy frame rate in the starting menu/character menu/opening video. However if I use the borderless windowed/windowed mode this problem seems to stop. Is this just a ffxiv issue that is going to be resolved anytime soon?? It does not happen if I use an amd card like my old gigabyte 7870

It's not an ffxiv issue, it's an nvidia driver issue. For now the workaround is to use borderless window OR disable frame rate caps on the ffxiv client and enable v-sync in the drivers.

Ah ok, how do you know its an nvidia driver issue?? Do you know when its going to be fixed by any chance?? Sometimes the game also gets a little choppy when running around in a town or when mounted up in dragonhead

I gave turning on fullscreeen, disabling caps and v-sync on and the choppiness is still there in the opening video

I had a GTX680 2GB with this same issue. Tell me, does this FFXIV benchmark *not* exhibit the same characteristics? How about this updated benchmark version? I found the former (earlier build) didn't exhibit the stutter compared to the updated one (which exhibits stutter regardless).

It's an FFXIV issue. Will it be resolved? I dunno.

It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved. If this does continue to be a concern, please create another thread to further discuss resolutions or contact the Support Center at support.na.square-enix.com for assistance.
