My problem with this amazing game.

I expect new MMOs to be a competitor to current ones. Should we have to wait years for FFXIV be comparable to current MMOs? I feel like all new MMOs should take all amenities from current MMOs before being released. Don't you agree?

That would be great. Unfortunately people who fund mmos dont want to continue funding an mmo for an additional 10 years in the hopes that they will recoup their money let alone make a profit. Unless you think they could somehow bypass the time and effort that goes into making 10 years worth of content which I would have to say... ok magic man, beam me up~

I believe that they should have launched with each class breaking into 2 jobs. Or allowing a job to have two roles. Paladin Shield Oath, tank. Paladin Sword Oath, DPS. Something of that nature.

11 classes in WoW with 3 different specializations in each.

The operative word being has. It took four years to get the 10th class and 3 years after that to get the 11th.

The amount of jobs right now is fine... The other games you compared it to, have added classes(or jobs) over several years....

If the jobs had more specializations, then it it would be enough with 9 jobs. Don't know the best way to do it though, I don't want the usual skill tree thing, that has gotten boring, but something should be added.

The first and foremost thing that they have to do though, is to add more gear to choose from, so that we can get some uniqueness.

Every person that says a game I listed took years to reach that number of classes is just idiotically pointing out the obvious. Sooo what you are saying is we should just wait years for this game to be on par with those? Awesome idea. If in-fact someone spent the time and/or resources to create all the content that people could possibly want before an MMO was released, that MMO would become the Duke Nukem Forever of the genre. And even if that MMO was released it would still be years behind the other MMOs that had been constantly releasing content while our theoretical MMO was still being developed. Are you following? Any new MMO is always going to be behind older MMOs due to the dynamic nature of this type of game.

My nephew who has never played this game before jumped on my PLD and successful tanking WP run with only 1 wipe . I gave him a few instructions while he was playing , he didn't dodge a single AOE either lol .

Customisation is still content, someone still has to still down and create it in such a way that it integrates seamlessly into the rest of the game. Given what I've seen over the last 30 odd years of gaming, that's not as easy as it sounds.
